So we know Wittman is sticking around. Question is, how many of the 10 players who are either restricted or unrestricted free agents are sticking around?

I think Gortat is a must.

I'd love to have Ariza hang around too. Have a feeling he'll test the market and I can't honestly blame him. Can't imagine the Wiz brass are gonna just let Porter waste away on the bench without getting a sense of he can bring it or not.

Andre Miller provided a different look and spark at times. Is there value in keeping him and seeing what he can contribute in an entire season? I'm leaning towards.. yes. Just hoping there isn't an ego thing with Wall. (Besides which, we can't expect Wall to log in the minutes per game like he has in continuity. If the Wiz want to go farther than the 2nd round of the playoffs, he's gotta have fresh legs in June. He can't be tuckering out in March.)

The Pierce signing is absolutely perfect. Much better than Ariza for the long view.

Pierce brings two things:

1) A proven leader to help Wall and Beal get to the next level
2) cap space in 2016 when Pierce retires.

Every move that the Wizards make needs to be with an eye on 2016. If the Wizards can prove that they are a top 3 or 4 team in the East over the next two years while still keeping open cap space, KD just might consider a return home. IMO, that is the only way that the Wizards can become true title contenders, and I think they have a realistic shot to get it done.

Wizards have been excellent this offseason. Signing Blair and Humphries brings intensity off the bench and builds depth in our roster. Best part, everyone that we signed is excited to come to DC. Looking forward to this season.
