Which Wings team will show up tonight? By watching the character of their play and how the chemistry melds the first 10 minutes of the game, you'll pretty much know what the next 50 will be like; unless, of course, they are behind by 1 or 2 goals the last 6 or 7 minutes. Then, you will see them play with heart, as if a tie in regulation, followed by a win in OT, mean making or not making the playoffs.
Much of the success of this game for the Wings will depend on whom the mastermind inserts on the line with Pavel. That will determine whether or not his creativity will be utilized or stiffled. Without being able to take advantage of his talents, then the secondary scoring has to be the difference in the game in order for Detroit to move up in the conference battle.

Actually we can ask any and all the questions we can think of as to where this team might be headed; but, one thing seems quite evident. If this is basically our team of the future, many of us fans will continue to be quite disappointed; and, when the second season comes, known as the playoffs, the Red Wings don't have to worry about preparing for any victory celebrations.

Fell asleep watching the Flyers game and woke up with 7 minutes left in this one. Managed to miss everything, except for Gus stopping the PS.
