Ok, enough pussyfooting around. The NFL officially kicks off its 2018 season tomorrow. Let's see what everyone thinks the Bears record will be.

As the unofficial spokesman for Bears Kool Aid, I am going with 10-6.

10-6. I agree. That’s a safe estimate after the Khalil Mack trade.

I'll still be happy if we're just competitive.

No lofty expectations from me this year. I just want some fun.

9-7

Floor of 7 wins - Ceiling of 11 (assuming no key losses to injury, of course)

I'll meet that in the middle with 9 wins and no playoffs. Obviously, a playoff run is very possible. However... 2019 and 2020 our run begins for real. This is the year where we get our wheels off the ground a bit.

I think the Bears will win at least 7, most likely end up 8-8 or 9-7.

Still predicing a win over the packers? If they pull that off and win over Seattle, which I believe you predicted, I could easily see them going 5-0 into the buy week.

I never predicted a win over the Packers. I've said for a while that there's a lot of things to like about the matchup falling Week 1 and that we have a much better chance than it appears to a lot of people. A win is "very possible" and I had a good gut feeling prior to the Mack trade even. However, I simply can't sit here and predict we'll go into Lambeau and beat Rodgers. Not much logic in that. We don't even really know what we have yet. We've seen the #1 offense for a grand total of... what? 4 series? Running a dummy version of our offense?

I think we can easily win the next three, though. Quite possible we rack up wins in the 1st half as that's the easy part of our schedule. Initially I projected that we'd look great in the 1st half and falter in the 2nd. I think we falter less now... but still think that's a tough path. I just don't know if everything falls into place quite yet.

How Trubisky looks the first few games could swing my prediction a couple of games

I'll go with 10-6, even thought my heart wants to say even better. New system, so many new guys... it'll take some time to get them up and running.

We've got a real shot at stunning the Packers on Sunday. If we were at home, i'd like the chances a lot more. The games against the Patriots, Rams, Vikings and Packers are ones that figure to be really tough, but 4 out of those 6 are at home at least. We can certainly win a handful of those games while losing a handful of the more winnable games. We've got more of our easier opponents on the road and more of the harder opponents at home so that bodes well for going a little more optimistic.

10-6 second half of schedule is brutal. Will not get blown out by anyone this year.
