It sucks, no doubt. At least, you figure anyway, chances of him actually seeing a lot of defensive snaps this season was probably minimal. At best, he would have been the 4th CB to start the season behind Jones, Dre K, and Dennard.

The big thing is all the reps he'll miss in practice this year to get him ready for next year and beyond. Maybe he'll get lucky and he can go on the IR/return designation if they feel he can return this year. I saw where he's getting another opinion.

Adam Jones and Swag will be the starters. I think Shaw will end up playing a lot in the slot - He seemed to have some talent. Lewis-Harris is a dependable 4th starter.

I won't count on Dennard until he can stay healthy.

Wouldn't be surprised to see us add Leon Hall if another guy gets hurt.

Clearly a BPA pick, but it still does suck...even if he wasn't going to start...I think CIN chose him with the idea of him being a starter in '17...just sets him back development wise.

Steelers lost rookie CB, Golson LY for the season in camp...2nd rd pick and he was expected to play some...they say he knows the playbook, but essentially a rookie this yr.

Not that I know what it feels like, but torn pecs are usually = IR.

Yeah.... The big loss to me is the fact that he'll lose a developmental season. Corners always get hurt, and that would have meant he probably would have seen spot duty toward the end of the season. Much the same way that Swag or Dennard did in their rookie seasons. It's possible that he'll benefit from the offseason program, but this probably does put his development behind a year. And it does raise questions about Swag's next contract. If Dennard can't stay healthy, Jackson isn't ready, and Jones is aging, can you really afford not to re-sign Swag?

Hot take: We'll take a 1st round corner in the first round one of the next three seasons!

Reports are saying, early indication is that WJIII can return this year. Most likely candidate to start the year on the IR/return list at this point. Good news for him, even if it means coming back to get practice reps.
