Will we see Cox at DE more this season?

I wonder, given how many DTs we have signed. I suspect maybe they plan to move him around more? It's going to be interesting to see how they play all of these defensive linemen. It seems we went from being heavy at DE to now being heavy at DT.

Not like any of the DT depth were big investments.

I think they just want to make sure that they have 4 healthy and usable every week.

Agree with this.
I do think it’s possible they could line Cox up at DE some....it’s a smart move if the DT depth is there.

But I don’t think all the work on DT depth was primary to this. I think it was to have solid depth there. Anything the coaches can do with that depth is secondary.

Cox also reportedly had offseason foot surgery. Though he is expected to be back for the season, I wonder if they plan to take it easy on him early at training camp and need bodies at the position.

There's really no point to playing Cox in the preseason ... they need bodies for all those games. The top 3 are set, but they will have plenty of competition to judge from for those final 2 spots.

I'm pulling for Treyvon Hester to make the 53... I think given more snaps he could be a real player for us in that rotation.

Don't sleep on Hassan Ridgeway, the ex-Colt. He is young and has potential.
LB'er TJ Edwards may make the team, and be a ST player, although he will have to beat out Gerry, Worrilow, and others.

Ridgeway was always considered talented, but the knock on him coming out of Texas was his supposed attitude and motor. He was considered a boom or bust prospect. Thus far, he has been OK but kind of a disappointment as a pro, which is why he got dealt for a 7th round pick.

Yeah, I feel he has played pretty well when given the chance.
