I think part of the problem with other sports is that Americans are becoming the minority on their own fields and courts, baseball, basketball etc....

There is a correlation between how many non-Americans are in the sport at the elite level and its popularity.

NFL - 99% Americans playing, coaching. Most popular sport

MLB - 77% Americans, 2nd most popular

NBA - 73% Americans, 3rd most popular

NHL - 30% Americans, 4th most popular

Soccer - 1-2% Americans, hated with a passion

More flopping in soccer than all sports combined, I can't watch it.

Probably not but the biggest reason behind it is Vegas. More money is wagered on football than all other sports combined. With that much money changing hands football will always be more popular. Now if that trend starts to change then so to will the games popularity.

The talent will go somewhere, probably the NBA and soccer.

One does not simply go to the NBA. You have to be born into the top 1% of athletes first and then you have to work your butt off and get lucky and hope that you get tall when you hit puberty.

The NBA is actually going to get into a talent drought because guys like Doc Rivers are having less talented kids like Austin Rivers.
