Huh...that's interesting. Didn't know that one. Pens have a bad track record against them, same as we have a horrible history with the Devs. Giving up that first cruddy goal and then a bad Martin turnover basically sealed this game. PP is doing nothing either. Theo looks really solid in the minimal chances that have gotten through.

Malkin's going to have to step up eventually, regardless of how long Crosby's out. He just hasn't been good this season, and with $8.7 million of cap hit invested in him, he needs to produce at 90-100 pts/season pace at least. To be honest, if he doesn't find his game for the rest of the season, I might look to deal him for an established NHL winger. If he does find his game, though, I prefer strength up the middle.

But I really thing the Penguins struggle with the trap so much because they're such a center-heavy team. They don't have enough skill on the wings to beat it, because you have to beat the trap with wingers.
