New guy here. I just signed up a few days ago and couldn't believe my moniker was still available. I agree on targeting Iupati. He'd be a huge addition. But he plays LG. Can he also play RG? That's a position of greater need for us. While Lauvao has been disappointing so far, Chester has been horrid. So, if we do get Iupati, I wonder where he'd play. I'd just as soon have him replace Lauvao at LG, stick with Lichtensteiger for the time being, and maybe try Spencer Long at RG. Then we use one of our draft picks to take a RT such as Brandon Scherff or Andrus Peat. Im a bit concerned with Scherff, however. In reading some reviews on him, he's a great mauling run blocker, but has had issues with pass pro. If so, we don't need another Polumbus v. 2.0 here, though I can't imagine he'd be nearly as bad and couldn't be coached up by Bill Callahan. If we make these moves, we can very well be set on offense and make it pretty explosive. Before anyone starts laughing, we've got a dynamic #1 WR in D-Jax (and we should try like heck to keep Garcon to make this a legit WR tandem), a Pro-Bowl RB in Alf, and a great young talent in Jordan Reed. If you get an o-line that can open up holes for Alf to run through and give RGIII some time to throw, I think you'll see pretty dramatic improvements in offensive production this year from the past two.

Lauvao was a disappointment so Iupati would be our LG and have Lauvao move to RG or have either Long or Moses be our RG while we also try to go after Bulaga for the RT spot

you do realize buluga has missed 23 career games dont you ? as for lavou your idea could have merit if we go to the power blocking scheme (which it looks like we will )

Lauvao really blew last year. If we get Iupati, put him at LG. If that happens, we get a left side that features Williams, Iupati and Lichtensteiger. That's a pretty good lineup for those three spots. Then, we've got the porous right side of the line. Chester and his big cap number are gone. Who do we replace him with? Spencer Long? Do we know whether he's up to the task? As for RT, no way do we put in Morgan Moses, who couldn't beat out Polumbus last year. That's speaks volumes as to his worth, and with his Lisfranc injury, talk of a bust isn't out of line even at this early stage of his career. If Long is worthy of the RG spot, we need to draft a RT with our first pick, hopefully either Brandon Scherff or Andrus Peat. If so, our o-line, at least on paper, looks pretty promising.
