Well, the r*pe was reported basically in the same amount of time. Now the identification of the accused is what is drastically different. That and this happened and was reported and the accused identified during the football season while Winston was not identified until the off season and then the investigation stopped in February and was reopened later during the football season.

Personally, I think it's bullshit to suspend someone for being accused unless you know they are going to be charged.

No he wasn't. He was identified in the fucking off season. How the fuck can he play in the off season. As far as Jimbo was concerned the investigation had ceased and was over until it sprung back up during the football season. These are 2 totally different circumstances.

It was being investigated on whether he would be charged. Just like the UF case is going on now.

It's two completely different situations. One is being investigated by local PD the other was pushed under te rug by local PD after the accused was named and was only reopened due to public outcry when it was leaked.

By FSU rules any athlete charged with a FELONY is automatically suspended until either the charge is reduced or cleared through the court system. If memory serves correct he was never charged. So they followed the rule.

Maybe UF has a different rule OR the UF president does not want a PR disaster like FSU put itself in. You know learning from other's mistakes.
