I have to think Brock Osweiler is high on this list, with his four-year, $72 million contract.

But who else is a candidate?

Romo? He signed a six-year $108 million deal in 2013 at age 33 and has only played 4 games so far in the past two years.

Kaepernick.

But only his white half.

If I called his black half a thief, I'd be considered a racist.

Have you ever heard of Ryan Fitzpatrick?

Malik Jackson, the Jags gave $90 million to a scrub whose doing what he does best, only showing up once every 5 games or so.

It's Osweiler and it is not even close, IMO.

I don't think he'll start for them past this season. He's getting elite QB money right now to perform worse than any QB in the league, and possibly even to not perform for them at all for another three years.

Cutler's was three years (in the last year now), but at least the Bears got those three years out of him and most of the time got average to above average play.

If Romo never plays for the Cowboys again, that could be pretty bad. Not sure how that contract is structured with the guaranteed cash though. If the Cowboys unload him in a trade along with the contract, its not as bad as Osweiler. No one will take that contract if he does not SIGNIFICANTLY improve.

Uh... one year contract, for 12 million? That's nothing. Not bad, at all.

He sucks.

What's your point? We all know he's playing terrible. I don't think you're grasping the topic of the thread...

Do you understand why Osweiler and Romo's contracts are far worse? They're being paid as elite QB's for an extended period of time, with guaranteed money. One is playing bad on an historical level, and another has hardly played since signing the deal and may never play for the team again.

Fitzpatrick is also playing poorly. However, he is being paid like a pedestrian starter for only ONE year. They can cut ties with him, only losing a small chunk of money in the grand scheme and be done with him after one season. Osweiler is going to be paid by the Texans like an elite QB for the next four years, regardless. They're stuck with him and with paying him all of that cash.
