....Wes Welker or Torrey Smith? Though I have a feeling the Patriots-Titans game is going to be a shootout I just believe Welker is going to be the 3rd option behind Gronk and Hernandez and so his upside this week may be limited. While Smith on the other hand is now the Raven's #1 receiver and is going up against a Bengal's secondary that is banged up at the moment. Plus the last time the Smith went up against the Bengals at home he went off for 165 yds and a td. I know its a gamble but I'm leaning towards starting Smith this week. Who would you guys start in this situation?

Welker: proj- 10 points|oprk (opponent rank vs. position)- Tenn: 4th
Smith: proj- 11 points |oprk (opponent rank vs. position)- Cin: 14th

Tough one to call. Welker may get targeted by Brady more due to Gronk and Hernandez getting more attention, while the Bengals may have Hall covering Smith with over the top help from Mays or Nelson. Outside Smith, the Ravens receiving core is pretty coverable one on one. The real question is, who covers Rice out of the backfield?

Welker...even though Torrey Smith is a good bet to torch the Bengals secondary on one big play. Welker is Brady's go to guy...Flacco aint Brady.

On my end, in both my leagues ($$$ and this one) I've got Peyton Manning and Cutler as my QB's (Peyton has the Steelers and Cutler the Colts...both at home). I've got Cutler starting.

Welker is a #1 (or 2) receiver for possibly the best QB in the NFL, Tom Brady

Torrey Smith is a #3 receiver who is best known for only doing well against the Bengals, his QB is Joe Flacco.

....

There is no question about it, it's obvious.

Tough call, but I'd go with Smith.....if the Bengals' rush doesn't get there, Smith is going to have a huge day, because the Bengals just don't have anyone who can run with him....

Horrible mistake here. The Bears will run the ball 40 times this game...especially in the redzone where the Colts are absolutely woeful against the run.

Manning will pass the ball 40 times in this game. He's had success against the Steelers too.

Now that Kramer has weighed in I know that playing Cutler is absolutely the right move. Just messin...I think their are pros to playing each guy. Peyton is the best regular season QB of all time. However, he's been on the shelf for a while...and Pitt is a brutal matchup for QB's.

Indy's secondary is horrible. Cutler has his main man Marshall back and some talent on the other side with Jeffery and Hester. I think they'll go to the air early. My fear is that they get a lead then ground it out. I'll have to hope that Luck is as good as I think he is and that the Colts keep it close.

It's not like Smith racked up the points. He only had what 57 yards.

neither of them performed as expected.... could have started anyone off the waiver wire with better results.
