but he is statuesque compared to allen… and it is not like either are going to be a top 5 passer...

Kind of surprised this is even a discussion... would take Allen over Jimmy every single time...

Jimmy - he has weapons that Allen just doesn't, Buffalo has a bunch of wishes and prayers at WR/TE and old balls at RB

SF has too many good RBs than they know what to do with, and Pettis/Goodwin/Kittle. I think the 49ers score more pts than the Bills next season, so give me the QB on the team that scores more every time.

I'm going to assume we are talking dynasty because in re-draft they would both be the 20's of my rankings so neither. I always would rather have the better passer. No way they keep letting Allen run like he did last year. San Francisco seems to want to get better and Buffalo just seems perfectly content with being terrible.

He was hitting WRs at the end of the year. He's a gamer and will get better. That was a big jump in competition for him last year and he handled it.

I don't think Garoppolo will throw 10 more touchdowns than Allen and the rushing will make up that difference and more.

Coming back from injury successfully is never a guarantee.

can i just ask u this, you think hes mobile, he was last year, he wasnt a runner in college. He ran because he couldnt do crap with his arm. You dont think they shut that down this year? hes not by any means a dynamic runner

Really simply I like mobile qbs. Creates a higher floor. And I don’t think grapes has the upside of a top qb. If I am taking a low end qb1 I would rather take the one with the higher floor.

Plus, I am not convinced on garropolo’s pedigree. We go crazy because he studied under the patriots. But that is basically all he has, sure he had a great 5 games when he got the job with the 49ers. But that could be just new blood new momentum type of thing.

The real problem with garropolo is that he missed all season last year. And for someone who needs to prove himself that is something I run away from. He could be injury prone for all we know. And is he even 100% healed???

Way too many question marks for me to bet on him.

And the floor of a mobile qb is just too high to ignore. And being on a bad team means lots of garbage time yards.
