Obviously it's Florida State.
We had a players-only meeting this week. Granted, 10 of the
players went to the wrong room, but the others went and got
them.
That showsenginenuity ijunannuityuhh, teamwork
You know...since Saturday, every presser Willie has had he
has pleaded with the fanbase..."not to give up on the team."
Wow, it's like a reverse Hoosiers!
The movie Hoosiers was backward anyway.
Milan was in the state tourney the year before. It was Milan
that had the big lead and then went into a stall and blew the
lead. They didn't play South Bend Central for the title, they
played Muncie Central. (They beat South Bend in the semi's)
The only part of the movie they got right was Chitwood's final
shot. Now, Chitwood in real life was Bobby Plum or something
like that. He went on to own a bar in Indy.
That fade away jump shot was exactly the shot he made from the
same spot on the floor to give Milan the title.
Kinda like Rudy. The sack of the GT QB was exactly the way it
was in the real game. Everything else was bullshit but they
got the sack right. Just like Knute Rockne All-American. The Irish
were unbeaten with two games remaining and ranked #1 in the
Country. Rockne didn't go with the team to Pittsburgh for the
Carneige Tech game. He, instead went to Chicago to watch the
Army-Navy game. Irish got beat 19-0. They left that part out of
the movie.
Or the Gipper dying. They never mentioned that his girlfriend
was giving berth to their illegitimate child in the same hospital
that day. Just as well, 100 or so years later they exhumed Gipp's
body because of an inheritance dispute. It seems that the girlfriend didn't buy into the hype. DNA proved the child wasn't
Gipp's. (I always believed Rockne was the Father)
Sounds like Friday night lights. They didn't get the playoff bracket right at all.The movie Hoosiers was backward anyway.
