I figured before Lock makes his first start I would get this poll going. It all depends on how Lock does but I could see a case for and against everyone on this list

It needs to be Lock. Hard to ever find your QB of the future if you don’t let a young guy play. We have had too many retread QBs.

Darnold shows signs then lets a person down. He will have two good games then play a cruddy Bengals team like well curd. To be fair.. He has very little around him. Crowder and Robby Anderson are decent WR's, but more like #2's. Darnold has never had a consistent #1 WR, never had a good TE and never had a good OL and defense around him to be put into a situation to win. Right now he has to do too much to win games. Situations matter. I don't think Darnold has sucked. I just don't think he is in a situation to win. The Jets at least went out and got him a good RB and now it sounds like they don't even want him there.

Next year has to be Lock, IMO. Unless he just totally sucks these last few weeks. He sure was fun to watch yesterday. We saw what can be down the line and we saw some rookie bumps he has to take to get where we hope he can be. Natural process that takes place for a rookie QB. I've already seen more out of him then I did Paxton Lynch in two seasons. So that is one positive.

I would not mind Tebow .

Lock and Tebow.Fling it and Sledgehammer

I still think the NFL is nuts Tebow can win games that has already been proven.

Drew Lock, who does he remind you Of when he plays? I want to say, Arron Rodgers ...Not sure of that. Maybe it was how he made time in the pocket why I say, Rodgers.

Nah. We don't need Tebow. We already have a Fullback, and he throws a better pass than Tebow. He'll be back healthy again next year.

He is what Cutler would have been if Cutler was born with a soul.

So I was thinking about this early today, and wanted to look at FA free agent QBs and here is the list:
Dak Prescott - Probably gets the Franchise tag so not likely available.
Philip Rivers - I doubt he lease Los Angles, but I guess you never know.
Tom Brady - No thanks, but sounds like something Elway would do.
Drew Brees - Interesting, but I don't think we need a stop gap QB, and I don't think he leaves New Orleans.
Teddy Bridgewater - Probably with a new team next year and show well this year.
Eli Manning - Never been a fan, seems a bit like Flacco that didn't work.

I don't know that I like any of them better then Lock when the contract is taken into consideration.

My vote is Brady.

But with Elway's track record it'll probably be Eli or Dalton.

If Lock looks good, he could have the job going into next year, but my money isn't on Lock looking good.

We could draft somebody in the first in the draft and they could get the job, but I don't think that's particularly likely.

I actually hope we roll with the young guys we have. Why not see how they can develop and maybe we have our starter and backup on the roster now. Only one way to find out.
