Its a one-game play in so I'd say the Giants do. For the Dodgers, put Sherzer out there at home and its over.

My assessment after reviewing the data is that 102 wins gets it done and that is the number the Giants will end at. Crunching the data, the Giants will finish the last 22 games remaining at 12 and 10

After studying the remaining opponents for both teams I’ve determined that the number is now 103, not 102

Can't think of a single player on the team that has not made a significant contribution to the team during the year. That is very unusual.

Yeah that's Kapler. If he doesn't win manager of the year they might as well not even have the award.

Seems like almost everything he does turns out well. I think he's got that award locked up. The players seem to like playing for him and are buying in to his situational player rotation style. Of course its easy to be happy when your team is 45 games over .500

Yeah, he has always said using platoons would be a strength for him since he was a platoon player himself. He seems to be proving that right.

Poor Cubs. Its rough when your best catch of the game was made by a fan.

Is it time to admit that the Phillies (and especially their fans) were wrong from getting him fired?

Yes I've thought that all along. Dude makes a couple questionable calls in literally his first month or two managing in the big leagues and they give up on him after 2 years.

Meanwhile Tommy Joseph is running a car wash in Cleveland
I don't think he ever ran it. And that was a couple years ago, before he got fired for his habitual tardiness and general lack of "can-do attitude." The latest I heard, he was now offering handjobs underneath the freeway next to the car wash in Cleveland.

I thought about checking it out last time I was in Cleveland, but I heard he was charging $100 a pop. Thanks Tommy, but I'm not paying 100 dollars for something I can just as easily do myself. Now, if he were to expand his business to include blow jobs then maybe we'll talk.....

And now he flies in Wilmer Flores for one game in Chicago after coming off the DL and lo and behold Flores is the big hero of the game. Kapler has something going on.

At least the new CBA is going to institute a cap floor of 100 million, so the Padres will be able to trade away a few of their 30 million dollar players.

I'm sure Schildt will get some consideration.
