I'm thinking Kyle Shanahan or we try to land Sean Payton but picked Shanahan since he won't cost anything to get. I think we can eliminate Patrica and Joseph since we probably aren't going to go for another defensive minded coach. Not sure if McVay will be ready and just don't think it'll be Goodwin. I've heard good things about Lynn and don't know much about Wilks. As for McDaniels, I can see us trying him out again but I think that some other team will overpay.

I don't even understand why we are even considering a defensive coordinator for our HC? But knowing how this team operates, that will most likely whom we choose. :L

McDaniels, Toub, Shanahan, McVay, Haley, Bevell, Cooter, Harbaugh, Gruden and Coughlin would all be better than Fisher but I would be surprised if the Rams didn't try real hard for Payton in a trade. I like Toub, don't think much of Shanahan really, McDaniels does need another chance but again depending on the cost, Payton could be the guy. We will see soon. I voted other in the poll.

Sean Payton is wet dream, hoping a realistic one. Super Bowl winner, never won less than seven games in a season.

I'm still thinking it'll be Payton... Supposedly, Loomis in NO is tired of hearing about Payton possibly leaving for the past few seasons and wants to end it already. Of course it'll take some compensation, but I think it could definitely happen... We need a big name with an offensive background and knows how to win football games. Payton would fit those criteria...

Sean hasn't been to the playoffs since 2013 and it will be nearly a decade since his SB win if he wins one with the Rams next season or two if he were hired.

Not saying I don't want or like him, just stating some facts.

The thing about Payton, his offenses regularly kick ass...That's what we need right now, a guy who can bring in a proven offensive scheme and develop Goff...In a way, it's too bad that Payton and Williams wouldn't be able to work together. They'd probably be a great Offense/Defense combo again...

I don't know, but I certainly believe that firing Demoff first would greatly increase our chances of getting a quality person for HC.

I don't see that happening...Would be nice, but not very likely...

:agree: Payton would be a good fit and a great teacher for Goff! But I just don't think that he would choose this team with all of our issues! Buffalo or Denver will be his choice.

I don't think Payton leaves NOLA till Brees retires.

I fully expect Demoff and Snead to end up with someone completely off that list, and not necessarily Payton either. Whether or not it works out is another discussion altogether.

Well if you think about its coaching suicide coming here. unless who ever comes in here instantly turns things around which will be extremely hard to do your going to be fired when the new stadium gets built so Stan can make the biggest splash at that time. and as a coach where do you go from there after being fired after a couple years.

They don't have room for Austin really. Who is he going to start over? Cooks, Thomas, or Snead?

I don't agree with any of this. Rams recent history has expectations very low. If you get this team to .500 or above, you're a hero. I also don't think Stan wants a new coach as he moves into the stadium; he wants a winning product heading into that opening. The splash is now to get the team up to snuff in time to show them off in the new stadium.
