I am in two leagues. I lost by 5 yards in 1 game. I scored the second most points in the league in my other league and still lost (by 2 points with Michael Thomas getting injured to top it off.)

Yeah, as if his fantasy day weren't bad enough, Michael Thomas unfortunately got injured on one of the last plays of the game.

I also have Jonathon Taylor (Who’s stock went way up) and great depth at WR (Adams, Metcalf, Cooks, Parris Campbell, and Scotty Miller) in a 12 team league, so it will hurt, but I think my team can still contend. It just sucked that my team did so well and I have nothing to show for it but a loss and an injury to my first pick.

Well week one mostly worked out well. But, with Godwin still in conclusion protocall, and AJ Brown basically already ruled out..both dudes I invested heavily in, in every league I could..week 2 could be a bitch

My opponent had both Chubb and Hunt in his lineup Thursday night. I'm down 56-0. Do you like my chances this week...? Anybody...?
Hey, I have both Conner and Snell. Two can play that game. :D

Lost to a rival by two
Just notice 4 out of 5 match-ups in my main league came within 2 points.

If you had said Frank Gore and Josh Adams, I'd have more confidence.

Onto week 2: I lost Barkley, Julio did jack shit, and TY continues to be a ghost. Oh and three players on my bench combined for 70+ points.

On a positive note, Robinson appears to be RB2 quality and Diggs will be my WR2 till Golladay gets ready and will then likely spend a lot of time at flex.

In one of those free ESPN leagues I'm currently down 101.1 to 74.32. That seems reasonable. It happens. However, here are the starting lineups:

Mine:
QB Ben Roethlisberger (12.62)
RB Alvin Kamara (22.8)
RB Mike Davis (8.6)
WR Kenny Golladay (17.4)
WR Chase Claypool (0.8)
TE Jimmy Graham (plays tonight)
Flex RB Kenyan Drake (5.1)
DST Rams (plays tonight)
K Stephen Gostkowski (7.0)

His:
QB Kyler Murray (37.4)
RB Saquon Barkley (0)
RB Joe Mixon (0)

WR Mike Evans (5.7)
WR Tyler Lockett (53.0)
TE Hunter Henry (5.3)
Flex RB Miles Sanders (0)
DST Colts (0)
K Matt Gay (0)

I'm 5-1 and they are 1-5.

Someone in my league lost even though Lockett went nuts for his team. I was trying to trade for his Cam Newton back when my QB's were Brees and Burrow. I have Herbert now, so I'm good.

this marks the biggest problem with fantasy football... the 2 players with big games can win you the week...

Really wish there is a way to limit the factor of one or 2 players... but there is not yet...

edit: some fantasy sites can give you points for Games played... I think I am going to use that for all leagues i am commisioner... give 10 points just for playing, so a 0 start hurts that much more...

Well I mean if everyone actually does their lineups it’s a wash right?

But isn't that what makes fantasy great? You could have one of your big name players put up a stinker, but then another player can save your day.

@PhilSimms11 i played claypool too. Was my own fault because I wasn’t paying attention that DIontae was a full go. Pending injury, claypool is third in the receiver pecking order, and factor Conner into that....he may go off some weeks, but the top 2 are clear for now.

right. It’s a wash. It only penalizes teams that don’t fix their lineup.

and getting a zero because of an in game injury of course won’t hurt you here.

to an extent... its one thing for players great games to compensate for a couple bad games... But the whole team shouldn't be bad...

If you have 2 players getting 90 points and you only score 110, there is a big problem there...
