Actually Broncos will probably get #1 seed. That will change it up.

Your AFC group I have the same and I see the playoffs going exactly as you have them. The NFC I have it going at least a little differently.

1. Seahawks
2. Panthers
3. Eagles
4. Lions
5. Saints
6. 49ers

Eagles vs. 49ers= 49ers
Lions vs. Saints=Saints
Seahawks vs. 49ers=Seahawks
Saints vs. Panthers=Panthers
Panthers=Seahawks=Panthers.

Broncos vs. Panthers=No Clue who would win this match up.

"Seattle wins easily in the snow." Aren't we cocky considering the team that will get the most practice actually in snow is most likely Denver compared to Seattle (lived in both places and the rain is nowhere near the same as playing in the snow).

I think Detriot wins the Super Bowl. Both lines are unreal and offense can score with anyone.

It is a much more realistic prediction than the Panthers coming to Seattle and winning

I agree with the OP about what teams make it except I would have Broncos #1 seed. The only thing I would disagree with the OP on the predictions are I would have both NFC wild cards winning first round, but would have top 2 seeds winning. I do think NFC and AFC Championships will be #1 and #2 seeds.

So since Seattle has all but clinched home field advantage we should just automatically put them in the Super Bowl?

First off on the road this season the Broncos have averaged let me say that again averaged 41 points a game. So them going on the road really isn't as big of deal as say for Seattle. Seattle on the road has averaged 24 points compared to at home 33 points. The Broncos actually average more points per game on the road than they do at home so again this is a team that travels well at least scoring wise. The Broncos have lost on average only by 4.5 points a game in the two they have lost this season so when they lose it is never close to being a blowout and in both of those games it took a ton of turnovers for them to even lose those games. They have already proven they can score even on great defenses in this league having played 3 (played one of those teams twice) of the top 10 scoring defenses in the NFL and the lowest output in those games being 27 points.

Now about the Panthers winning in Seattle. They have already shown they can hang with Seattle earlier in the year only losing by 5 (yes I realize it was a home game for them) and I would say at least offensively the Panthers have shown the greatest improvement in the league as the season has progressed. Defensively they have the front 7 to contain Russell Wilson and the run attack. Offensively Cam Newton can cause trouble for any team just like Russell Wilson can of breaking down even the best defenses with his legs. The receivers are actually playing a lot better now where it isn't just Steve Smith and everybody else. They have a running attack that if there is any weakness in that Seattle defense it is that they are susceptible to giving up a big day on the ground. I just think Carolina could get into a slug fest and maybe catch a break or two to pull out the win. Plus do you know how often 2 #1 seeds actually make it to the Super Bowl? Not very often. It can happen but usually one of them get's upset at some point in the playoffs.

If it's snowing in NY for a Broncos Seahawks SB I will take Marshawn Lynch and Russell Wilson over anyone the Broncos have running the ball. Everyone knows bad weather is not conducive to throwing the ball so the better running game should have the advantage.

The Panthers look good. However, Seattle already beat them this year in Carolina and it's very clear that teams coming into Seattle just don't perform as well. Do I have to remind you already what New Orleans did Monday? Cam is still young and not as poised as he would need to be to survive the experience that is CenturyLink in the playoffs. The 12th Man will get to him. Seattle > Carolina is a pretty safe call at home.

Now if I was a betting man at this point in the season yes I would say Seattle-Denver Super Bowl is how I would bet as they do look like the two best teams in the NFL right now. A lot can happen with a quarter of the season left and say before the Broncos-Seahawks would even meet would at the least be 6 more games.

Now as for Carolina beating Seattle to me it comes down to the fact that the Panthers have a defense that can at least keep Cam and the offense in it as they settle into the game. He has already shown he has no problem with the limelight on him playing well in all of their prime time games this season. I think if the Panthers could get the run game going early and take the crowd out of it a bit then they would stand a chance to go into Century Link and get the upset win. You are right Seattle > Carolina and I would say maybe 8 out of 10 times in Century Link they would beat them but all it takes is for it to be in that maybe 2 games they would win there for it to happen. Maybe a couple of bad turnovers. Come playoff time it really is a guessing man's game of who wins or loses.

Now as it goes to the running game between the Broncos and Seahawks...Well the Broncos even with the best passing attack in the NFL still have a top 13 rushing game of their own. They have 2 running backs that can easily go for a 100 yards a game in Ball and Moreno when called upon. The Broncos have shown that when needed they can rely on the run game to close out games for them this season which is something they did not have last year in the playoffs. Plus the Broncos have the better run defense in both yards and yards per carry so I trust them just a little more to stop the run than I do the Seahawks. We shall see though. Hopefully we both get our wish and get to see our teams in the Super Bowl with a chance to prove one of us right.

First off on the road this season the Broncos...

Now about the Panthers winning in Seattle...

I am not automatically putting them in the SB, but it will be extremely difficult for any team to come in to the Clink and win. The last time the Seahawks had home field advantage, they went to the SB and this team is much better than that one was.

I was just saying the Seahawks are better at running the ball, which would likely give them the advantage in the snow vs Manning trying to air it out. I think the Broncos and Hawks would likely be a very good game to have a great D play a great O in the SB.

The Hawks have given Cam two of his worst performances of his short career in the two games that they played him in his OWN stadium, but you think he can come to Clink, overcome the 12th man and the Hawks defense?

You must think it coincidence that the 2 worst games of Cam's career came against the Seahawks IN Carolina, the 2 worst defeats for DHS in his NFL career were IN Seattle, the 2 worst games in Kaep's career were IN Seattle, the worst game in Brees career since he became a Saint was last week IN Seattle. All of this has happened within the last 2 years.

If we get to meet in the post season, I say Manning will have a poor game which will result in a big fat L.

If the Cowboys make the playoffs theres no way they get out of the first round. after al Tony Romo is there quarterback. and as for the Giants there a very long shot to make it. I would love to see Seattle make a run in the playoffs.

i guess the only thing i would say to the very 'confident' seahawks fans on this board is that January games are a LOT different than regular season games. HFA isn't much of a factor in January.

IF the seahawks make it to the SB, it will be because they are playing the best football in january, NOT because of the field they are playing the game on.

Sorry, but it sounds like you're one of those people who still doesn't want to admit just how difficult it is to play in Seattle. Yes, to win the Hawks will also have to be playing good football, but we make it much easier for them to do so at CenturyLink.

"HFA isn't much of a factor in January." - Keep telling yourself that :laugh3:

Snow preventing a strong passing attack is a MYTH. What snow actually does is prevent the PASS RUSH. It is not hard to throw in the snow. It is much harder to throw in very cold and windy conditions than snowy conditions. That is because the ball hardens and is hard to grip to throw tight spirals. Snow has little effect. Tom Brady destroyed a very good Bears defense in 2010 at Soldier Field in the snow.

Ok, well if it's snowing it's also going to be cold and probably windy in NY in Jan. Point stands
