Whoever is Cleveland's flavor of the season

Jay Cutler is overrated? I have never read anyone saying he is a world beater. In fact, most everyone thinks he is sub-average. So I guess you think he is the worst QB in the NFL? Is that why he is over-rated.

Not being an ass... Just curious.

Cutler is underrated if anything he gets a lot of shit because of his demeanor, but he's a very talented thrower reminds me of Brett Farve minus the southern charm.

He's better than sub-average, but not as good as people like Boomer Esiason make him out to be. He is certainly not the worst.

Back to back road trips against playoff teams in that kind of weather especially does have an effect sorry. Houston had a tough time in Detroit, then had rest for titans before playing the pats on MNF the next week. This happens quite a bit. As for SF not getting stomped after big wins, if at home you might have a point. But on the road no...SF in 11 did not play big teams in bengals and eagles. The eagles were overrated. Also, they choked the game away. So SF after their win in Cincinatti didnt show up for the eagles game and had 1 qtr of hard work to show for it, then that gave them extra rest for the bucs game at home. The Lions came right before a bye week. They lost at ravens. And they followed up a big Seattle win with a cupcake matchup against the rams who were ready for the season to end. Last year, they had lions at home after going to GB but something tells me GB was looking ahead to Chicago four days later. Their big win at saints was followed by a low scoring loss in OT at rams. So no Harbaugh's niners has not followed up a big road win with another win against a serious opponent. At home home blowouts of teams like bucs, giants were followed up by close road win at lions and another home game against a cards team who were not a good road team upon their late turnaround. The steelers were on the west coast and it was a sloppy game. Seattle was not even really good. They got the right matchups at the right time(eagles short week, rams MNF, at bears with injuries to star players). The big wins SF had last year were all on the road.

Yea, the Seahawks were a total fluke.

So a lot of people said Cam Newton in this thread. What do you think of him at this point? He seems like he's been a pretty average QB to me so far. Doesn't really say "special" to me.

Completing right around 60% with 6 TDs and 2 INTs. Averaging over 6 yards a carry and a rushing TD. No fumbles. I swear, sometimes it seems like you guys just make up stuff to hate on this guy.

And 6.56 yards per attempt this season.

I don't see how that isn't an average performance thus far this season. And calling a guy's performance "average" or "not special" isn't "hating" on the guy.

That's if he still continues to produce! I foresee a sophomore slump! I've said it before, but I think the Seahawks will be looking, if not have a new QB in 2 years.

I'd be willing to bet that Pittsburgh has a new head coach long before the Seahawks have a new starting QB.

Did I really see someone suggest Flacco is on Brees' level. Absurdity has no limits in this thread it seems
