Wasn't Charlie Poole the cat they said was so good at playing the blues back then, that many people thought he was really a black man?

Unrelated to this list ^
But I also want to give a shoutout for Nick Gravenites and John Hammond.

That was true of a few early white blues cats especially the Allen Brothers, as ya know back then they had race records, black artists recording for a black audience. So when the Allen Brothers showed up in the race records being white there was a problem. Actually went to court.

Still debate over this cat, was he white or black?

Allen brothers, they sure sound white to me,

The thing about a lot of this old stuff is how few recordings some great talents had. What a shame.

The great Hasil Adkins....

Charlie Feathers

Both Floyd and Feathers were there at Sun Records in the Elvis years.

Floyd the first guy I ever saw play a harmonica with his nose, and yep.....it can be done.

Feathers has a couple songs on the Kill Bill soundtrack.
