I compiled draft position, catches, yards and TDs for all WRs drafted in 2018.

Can't really complain much about that 2018 draft overall...

Round 1 (18): Jaire Alexander, CB, Louisville
Round 2 (45): Josh Jackson, CB, Iowa
Round 3 (88): Oren Burks, LB, Vanderbilt
Round 4 (133): J’Mon Moore, WR, Missouri
Round 5 (138): Cole Madison, T, Washington State
Round 5 (172): JK Scott, P, Alabama
Round 5 (174): Marquez Valdes-Scantling, WR, South Florida
Round 6 (207): Equanimeous St. Brown, WR, Notre Dame
Round 7 (232): James Looney, DE, California
Round 7 (239): Hunter Bradley, LS, Mississippi State
Round 7 (248): Kendall Donnerson, EDGE, Southeast Missouri St.

You need your top picks to be productive and hope one of your later round picks can contribute. Our first rounder has become one of the better CBs in the league and we have two key contributors drafted in the 5th.

unfortunately Burks hasn’t developed. Moore and Madison never took a regular season snap I believe. JK has played a lot but he’s in thin ice I believe.

Alexander has been fantastic and Jackson was solid this year

I guess the ol expression is true. Throw enough mud at the wall and something is bound to stick. :heh:
Jk. They got it right with Alexander.

To me, it doesn't matter where you're drafted. Once you get into the facility, as a rookie, you have a choice, become a pro and be productive or become a statistic of another guy that didn't pan out. Take a look at how many 1st and 2nd round picks just don't pan out. It's usually about maturity and being willing to do what it takes to be a pro. Some guys are willing to make the sacrifices and some aren't. So the scouts can measure and time and do whatever else they want to do, but in the end it's about having dedication to be the best you can be. So guys are willing to do the work and some aren't...and then there are those that are not physically able...IE injured or unable to put on the uni for health reasons.

I agree. Nobody has a crystal ball but there are traits an athlete has to give an idea of the type of person they are or will be on the field. A head scratcher for me is if an athlete has a history of getting hurt constantly then regardless of his/her talent the risk outweighs the reward in my mind. What good is the talent if it’s always on the sidelines.
