LA teams??? Aminu over Hayward and PG13, McDyess over Garnett. Olakowandi over anyone (Dirk or Pierce), Wright over Kobe/Nash. Lamond Murray over Eddie Jones, Danny Ferry over Glenn Rice, Reggie Williams over Pippen, Benoit Benjamin over Mullin/Karl Malone, Lancaster Gordon over Otis Thorpe...
It's not always huge and glaring, but I don't think they've ever picked the best available. Maybe Blake Griffin, but I believe James Harden went a few picks later.
Was going to say Minnesota. just bad, especially with PG's and big names that didn't last (Rider, Laettner, Marshall), but Garnett and Allen back to back was nice.
And past 20 or so years... Lakers?
- Didn't draft Kobe
- best pick has been Marc Gasol who didn't help them
but they've usually not had good picks or picks at all. So less bad, more about lack of them.
If you go WAY back they have Magic and Worthy which is 2 hall of famers- one an inner circle hall of famer
but taht is true- the Lakers draft history has been fucking terrible the last 30 years.
Bynum might be their best pick in the last 30 years. Eddie Jones and Nick Exel?
