Which BiG 10 teams will lose to mid-majors (or less) in 2012?

Growing up there was always a BiG 10 team that would lose a game they shouldn't (generally to a MAC team). A couple of others would be near upsets.

Illinois - Western Michigan, Charleston Southern, Louisiana Tech
Indiana - Indiana State, Massachusetts, Ball State
Iowa - Northern Illinois, Northern Iowa, Central Michigan
Michigan - Air Force, Massachusetts
Michigan St - Central Michigan, Eastern Michigan
Minnesota - UNLV, New Hampshire, Western Michigan
Nebraska - Southern Miss, Arkansas State, Idaho State
Northwestern - South Dakota
Ohio St - Miami (OH), UCF, UAB
Penn St - Ohio, Temple
Purdue - Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Michigan, Marshall
Wisconsin - Northern Iowa, Utah State, UTEP

Honestly, I don't see many possible losses there. I'll take NIU over Iowa, and I think either Purdue or Minnesota drop a game to a MAC team. You also can never count out the possibility of an Indiana loss. The other eight teams are pretty safe, IMO.

I don't understand why you are so offended by this. He was the captain of one of the most explosive offenses in the country, led his team to an 11-3 record and a spot in the top 25, had a top 15 passer rating with >3,000 passing yards and 28 TDs, and had >1,300 rushing yards with 11 more TDs.

Chandler Harnisch would have been a top offensive player on any team that was an option/spread run based offense. I'm surprised people have a problem with that concept.

if Illinois struggles they may lose to La Tech, not likely.

I'll say Indiana will lose to one of those teams

Iowa likely will not lose

Michigan struggled with UMass a few years back where they nearly lost.

Michigan State will have no issues

Minnesota might lose to UNLV depending on how UNLV improves

Nebraska may lose to Arkansas State if they overlook them.

Northwestern probably won't lose to South Dakota but you never know with those Dakota teams

Ohio State won't lose

Penn State has a very slight chance of losing if they struggle

Purdue will probably drop one

Wisconsin has no chance of losing

3. Purdue-Marshall. Thundering Herd has been strong some years.

5. Ark. St - Nebraska. Because Malzahn will be coaching. Arky St. has had some success, and returns a bunch of starters.
