Where's Guti?

Hasn't played since April 26th.
Is he hurt again or ill again?
Did Joe Weiland's drop from the 40-man roster have something to do with getting an extra outfielder to replace Guti?
Or did they drop Joe because they are picking up a reliever so they can send El Guapo Guaipo's worthless ass back to Tacoma?

So many questions. So much intrigue.

I think Seth Smith has become more of a everyday player instead of platooning when lefty's are pitching... Smith has been one of our best hitters... He's actually been our best hitter to date...

Great question and one I wondered about the other day. The other day Lee pinched hit for Lind with bases loaded if I remember right and I thought Guti should have because he was a better contact hitter and we needed to make contact. Lee struck out.

Yesterday late in the game they batted Lind with a lefty on the mound and I thought Guti would have been a better choice there as well.

So I have been puzzled by the lack of his use....even though we are winning.

Guti's defense hasn't exactly been what it used to be, in addition it's not like he's hitting all that well either.

True, but early AB's are important. Hard to get in a groove playing once per week.
