Stephen Vogt (ARI, $3M) .146/.208/.292/.499

Madison Bumgarner (ARI, $6M, $19M in 2021) IP 17, ERA 9.35, WHIP 1.56

Will Smith (ATL, $13M) IP 18, ERA 2.95, WHIP 0.64

2018 Giants ... how are they playing this year (on other teams)?

Andrew McCutchen (PHI, $17M) .238/.286/.345/.631

Derek Holland (PIT, $100K) IP 23, ERA 6.17, WHIP 1.41

Chris Stratton (PIT, $588K) IP 14, ERA 4.5, WHIP 1.21

Hunter Strickland (NYM, $1.6M) IP 2.1, ERA 11.57, WHIP 2.14

Pierce Johnson (SDP, $2M) IP 9.2, ERA 4.66, WHIP 1.45

Mark Melancon (ATL, $14M, bwa ha ha) IP 9, ERA 2.00, WHIP 1.22, SV 4, BS 1, HLD 0

Josh Osich (BOS, $850K) IP 12.2, ERA 7.11, WHIP 1.34

--------------------

Ya know, I expected this list to be longer. It turns out that over the previous two seasons the Giants trotted out a LOT of borderline (meaning SHIT) players that aren't playing in the majors this year. And I mean a LOT. (Or, they are on the Giants roster this year. :( )

And, IIRC, Pillar would have cost the Giants around $10M (est.). Would have been nice to have him, he isn't playing like shit at least.

While I understand your sentiment we absolutely, positively, do not miss or need him.

It should also be noted that Bumgarner and Pomeranz are on the IL and Strickland has been dfa'd.

A little off topic, but glad that Bryan Reynolds isn’t doing what he did last year so far. Not rooting against the kid, just makes it easier to stomach.

Yeah, but being a flash in the pan means the farm system looks all that more lame.

I don’t remember who, but SOMEONE on these boards claimed almost from the day he was drafted that he wasn’t for real...

Hmmmm. Who could that have been?
