Lions WLB DeAndre Levy (knee, quad) said he will "try to be back this year."

Those are not promising comments from a player who has managed just two games since 2014. It does not sound like Levy will be back anytime soon, and it would not be surprising if he eventually lands on injured reserve.

Can't blame the guy for taking millions when he knows he is damaged goods and other teams would of probably done their due diligence.

I put it at less than 50/50 that the guy ever wears a Lions uni again.

Looks like he has a 240k bonus if he makes the squad next season. That along with a 15k per game bonus as well.

If we cut him post June 1st. It's only 2.4 million against the cap. Hard to see that guy not getting the boot.

Then he can sign with Seattle or Denver, load up on steroids, and return to pro bowl form

You may be on to something. His injuries do seem consistent with steroid abuse.

What do you mean by that?

Usually around larger muscles like the quads and groin. Lots of former juicers out there with torn labrums in their hips limping around. The ligaments and tendons can no longer support the muscles when they get past a certain size/strength.

Also, the cartilage cant adapt fast enough to support the quick increase muscle size. Combination injuries tend to be an issue as well.

He'll play again this season. I doubt that he plays the rest of the season whenever he comes back but he'll play.
