I believe we can officially put this one to bed.

Clemson clubbing Alabama like a baby seal is the winner.

Agreed. Alabama is being clubbed by the seal.

That Clemson offense in 2019 is not going to miss a beat.

Im for killing them. Cull the trash, and, you, please, die of cancer. Painfully.

Screaming.

You're just another dumb redneck that wondered into the "big city." You and your pig.

Not sure how the UGA game would “ruin it” for 15-0 Bama. They came back to win a neutral slugfest, with a backup QB. You think the 95 Huskers had that kind of depth?

Brook Berringer in 94 anyone?

I sure think it's a possibility.
What if it's a close game though???

Top 8 might look something like this.
  1. 2018 Alabama
  2. 1995 Nebraska
  3. 2004 USC
  4. 2001 Miami
  5. 1973 Oklahoma
  6. 1979 Alabama
  7. 2005 Texas
  8. 1956 Oklahoma
If Clemson wins, they'll be the first 15-0 champion too, why wouldn't they be in the conversation?
What about 1897 Penn (15-0)? Held opponents to 6 points or less 14 times including 12 shutouts. This team has been overlooked for years. Look at those goose eggs.
W 17-0 @ Bucknell
W 33-0 Franklin & Marshall
W 18-4 Washington & Jefferson
W 33-0 Bucknell
W 57-0 Gettysburg
W 58-0 Lehigh
W 42-0 Virginia
W 34-0 Dartmouth
W 24-0 Penn St (Joe Paterno's first season)
W 46-0 Lafayette
W 40-0 @ Brown
W 20-10 Carlisle
W 22-0 Wesleyan
W 15-6 Harvard
W 4-0 Cornell

Teams that old can't count. They'd lose by 70 to Bama or Clemson. So if you want to argue greatest, maybe you can make a weak argument. But definitely not best.

The question is, is Clemson the best team ever now? After Lawrence took over, they beat their opponents by an average score of 48-11, and didn't beat anyone by less than 20 points.

Bama stopped running the ball tonight when they could run the ball. Osborne wouldn't have stopped running the ball and Farley would have disrupted Clemson's offense. 95 Nebraska by 20.

Exactly my point. You cannot compare teams across era's. Might be fun to discuss but its not a logical argument

I don't see why not. 300 pounds is still 300 pounds. A 4.3/ 40 is still a 4.3/ 40. And when I've personally seen Chris Dishman, Aaron Graham & Co. WARM UP on the bench press with 5 wheels...... well.........

The biggest change would be schemes.

that 1971 Nebraska team is up there as well. one competitive game and it came against an extremely good Oklahoma team in one of the greatest games ever played.

Maybe the most underrated of the GOAT teams. Closest game that year, outside of the Game of the Century with Oklahoma was 44-17 with the starters out at the half.... Alabama lost by more in the national championship game.
