That's as far as I've ever got and I've never beaten a video game other than Ken Griffey Jr's Winning Run for SNES

I didn't own it but my cousin had Super Ghouls and Ghosts (SNES) and neither of us could beat it. That shit is HARD. We couldn't beat it as kids so when we were in college, he dug up it and brought it to his apartment, thinking for sure we could beat it. NOPE. Not myself, him, or any of his roommates could beat it. Fuck that game.

Dark Souls for 360 was a bitch, but rewarding. I hated when you'd get killed from a player entering you game. PC League of Legends learning curve fucking brutal.

Battletoads. Never really took it seriously but those bikes got crazy
Chakan. Almost like the game didnt want you to play it
Silpheed on Sega CD. I think I got a seizure thinking about it
Marvel v Capcom 2 on a Dreamcast controller.
I got most of the doable medals in Blast Corps on N64 but f- that dumptruck
Guitar Hero with any of the crazy Dragon Force like songs.
Dark Souls. Awesome game. Also, f- that awful, poorly made POS game
PS4? Um...controlling the batmobile? Seriously...havent even really tried with Batman yet due to better games

For XB1 Volgarr The Viking is the hardest game I've played so far. It looks like an old school SNES game and the checkpoints are extremely limited. It's mostly a matter of getting through the entire level unscathed.

I remember as a 10 yr old kid in 1991, "Iron Tank" was an absurdly difficult game for NES. Took me months to get to the end and I never beat it

At the rate restarts are loading with Arkam Knight on my Xbox1, that's the game that's going to cause my first controller smashed into a coffee table or TV experience.

Christ that game is the Krakatoa of ends to a successful game franchise that ends up a huge middle finger to those who purchased the series.

I also hold in low regard any game were half of it or more consists of finding crap that only someone armed with reading through an encyclopedia sized book that's priced at 20+ $ will let you complete the game or allow you to see some special ending the rest can't. Anyone involved in those money grabs can fucking die a slow painful death.

I remember Bayonetta being hard but there was one move you could unlock where she did a breakdance and spun around in a 360 and that move just crushed everything in its path.

I have heard stories about the old Xcom being brutal. The new ones arent that bad as long as you keep your Sniper and Heavy guys alive long enough to get the useful perks. Everyone else was expendable.

That game wasn't even fun to play because it was so tough. My brother and I would get so frustrated playing it, we always ended up beating the shit out of each other so he just gave it to one of his friends and told him to never bring it back.

I don't think you actually 'beat' Atari games, they just keep going
