How is it? I thought the 2002 movie was decent but a pale comparison to the book

After I finish Mayor of Kingstown, it's either a rewatch of that or Justified next. Love both shows.

I need to watch Mayor of Kingstown. I just got a free Apple sub through a new phone from work, so I have a bunch of binging to do there first, but MoK should make my list after Severance, Friends and Neighbors, Foundation, Shrinking and maybe a couple others. And I have intended to watch Nurse Jackie eventually. Maybe I should do that as well.

Dude getting a happy end in that movie completely wrecked the movie for me. They had done pretty damn solid up until the end.

We quite like it. And it’s fairly true to the book. Jeremy Irons played his part well.

I just got all caught up on For All Mankind yesterday. I know this is only head-cannon, but I am watching it as a prequel to Expanse, and it actually works pretty well.

I’ve never heard of that series, but I looked it up and I’m gonna watch it.

It is kinda a re-imagining of the space race in the 60s, but assuming the US lost to the Ruskies to the moon. It then advances through the years seeing how that effects world history.

HEAVY use of AI. Be prepared. It does a lot of Forrest Gump style scenes with real historical figures, but these scenes are done with AI. There isn’t dialogue or anything like that, but there are a lot of deep fake shots of press conferences and whatnot.

I finished season two the other day and thought that it was better than season one. I’ll probably wait until later this year to do Apple as I’d like to watch the new season of Ted Lasso and the Monarch series that just finished season two, along with the F1 movie.

The priority should be Slow Horses tho. Easily best show on that app. The studio also elite for what it’s going for.

I have never been a Godzilla fan, so I doubt I will do Monarch, but if my pending list gets short, maybe I will give it a try

Tbh I’m not either but the my put a lot of
Stuff in there to make it pretty intriguing. Some Kong too. But it’s not a must watch show
