I sit here typing this as one of my favorite craft breweries has announced it is being purchased by Inbev. I was going to go out tonight and drown my sorrows, but alas, it would be at the very place that my sorrows originate from. What to do, what to do...

It seems like everything that was once small eventually gets bought out. This is probably doubly true with beer and booze and will likely keep on happening.

It is what it is. There is always another good beer out there somewhere if you want to continue to support the little guy.

    Which brewery?

Hopefully a small group of freedom fighters starts murdering people at In-Bev's headquarters. That should keep their purchases down a bit.

I gave up a long time ago. Ever since Pete's Wicked, I've seen one beeeeloved microbrewer after another being swallowed up by one of the big three.

And it never makes sense, because it's not like buying them up makes a huge difference; these little guys have miniscule slivers of the market. They're never much competition for the big Macro-brewers in terms of profits or market share.

There are over 5,300 breweries out there. Plenty of good stuff to find.

    Candy is dandy.

    But liquor is quicker.

That's coming from a guy that murders children though.
