Nets and Clippers neck and neck for me

I respect Utah but they just strike me as that regular season champ that won’t be as effective in the playoffs

I guess Jazz should've been a choice. They don't have the superstar power, but they play team ball so well and the way they generate so many open 3s will make them tough to stop.

Well I guess that makes sense for the Warriors homers, but even if with Klay the Warriors are, at best, a mid seed team.
A rare miss from you. They wouldn't be favorites but they would be right in the mix with the contending teams.

You think they would be better than the Clippers or the Jazz? I'm not a Warriors hater by any means but to suggest that the Warriors would be the favorite to beat the Lakers if they had Klay is silly.

Seeing as how they are half a game behind 5 seed San Antonio right now, that is a pretty bad take.

Klay (at least what Klay was pre injury) is every bit as impactful as Curry for that team.

That isn’t what he said. He said they would be in the mix. Somewhere in that upper tier and a top 4 seed instead of a 5-9 seed that they are now.

The current standings aren't necessarily an accurate depiction of the quality of every team.

Seriously, you think that if Klay Thompson was healthy right now, the Warriors would be the 2nd best team in the league? Seriously?

I don't get why saying that they would be a 4 or 5 seed is some insane claim. The Blazers are ahead of them while missing 2 of their key starters for much of the season.

My initial comment was in response to the poll in this thread having the Warriors as being the MOST likely team to topple the Lakers in the NBA. TF pointed out that a lot of people made their votes before Klay got hurt. That's when I said that even with Klay they STILL wouldn't be a team I would consider to be a favorite to beat the Lakers.

You also have to factor in experience which the Warriors have plenty of and most of the other contenders don't, including the Clippers.

I didn't say that. I said they'd be better than a mid seed (your words). They would be contenders but probably still not quite as good as the Lakers.

Yeah, when the voting was done, folks thought they'd have Klay and their experience would be a big factor for them. Get into a 7 game series and all they need is Steph to be Steph and Klay to have one or 2 "Klay games" and a series vs. the Lakers becomes very winnable for them, imo.

Either you think they are the team with the best chance to beat the Lakers or you don't. It's a binary option. IMO, at no time did I think they were the best team to beat the Lakers. IMO, I would put them around teams 8-10 in the NBA. With Klay I would maybe put them somewhere between 4-6. Which makes them a mid-seed team.

You're missing my point but it's fine.

Warriors experience isn't that much better than the Clippers. They have the big 3 but after that there's not much experience. Clippers have Kawhi who been to 3 NBA finals then guys like George and Bev who been on teams who made deep runs.
