Yeah it would have been interesting for no other reason than to compare them to the 1998 Bulls, who were just as old/older. But this is obviously a moot point because James just took the easy-way-out (again) and joined a much younger super-team in Philly.

Yep this narrative so overblown. Lebron even now is still really good. Adding him to any good to great team is going to get them to contender status if not the favorite.

Cleveland and Miami were right on the edge of the range for type of team he could maybe get over the hump.

Mostly agree....though not sure before adding him I'm ready to put them over an ECF team when Philly hasn't been to ECF since 2001. I guess on par with the Giannis added Heat and maybe better. Just my opinion.

Obviously WITH Lebron they appear to be better, though.

Apparently, the JB trade helped a lot and the main thing per Windy is Maxey is a Klutch client and Bron has liked him since before he entered the League.

Assuming LeBron is going to harm whatever team he signs with is wild.

We are talking a vet min type contract.

This isn’t the same financial commitment of the past

He did change towards the end and his last two seasons felt like he was just another guy. I hope he keeps that way for their sake.

But I do think hes also well aware his days are numbered at this stage due to age.

He willingly took a step back since the Luka trade. He showed how good he can still be when Luka and AR were injured by carrying the Lakers through the end of the season and first round of the playoffs.

Definitely not the Lebron of even 5 years ago, but he's still an all star caliber player.

Now, I also believe nothing short of Finals MVP will boost his resume either.

Winning a title as a 3rd ish option is not the same as any of his others.
