That's some bad Ju Ju
Wow this is a reach. Steelers only became concerned due to all the backlash after 3-4 losses in a row. If there wasn't any backlash they would have continued to let him do his thing. And "the Browns is the Browns" was taken out of context IIRC. Media dissected the quote to fuel drama between the teams.

IMO the FA delay has little to do with "drama" surrounding him, and A LOT more to do with his asking price. Teams have a hard time wanting to pay that man like a WR1 when he isn't. He's likely asking $16-17M per year which isn't top end, but its still a lot more than most teams want to pay a WR2/slot guy.
I mean curtis samuel has accomplished far less, and was outplayed by a fa the panthers brought in. He just got 11.5 avg a year. Guys like cooks, kupp, landry are around 14/15, and watkins was there at 16. Corey davis getting around 12.5, heck agholot just got 11. I dont see why on a new contract hes not 14/15.Wow this is a reach. Steelers only become concerned due to all the backlash after 3-4 losses in a row.
