Bucs released him today rather than pay him the 13M he was owed . I've read Browns, Chargers , Jags, Falcons, Patriots and Cowboys mentioned . Hes 31 so not getting a long term deal but what's he worth on a 1 year now ? 8M? 10M?

Thoughts ?

The guy is 31 and has shown a decline in performance.

Bucs are dumb.

Way to get a win now coach and then get him NOTHING. Gut the leadership and give up in May. Good plan.

So just add another body at the position and rotate him more like the smart teams do.

$13 million is a lot of money for a rotational player

NE just resigned Danny Shelton to a team friendly deal packed mostly with incentives.

McCoy would be an upgrade but I don't see NE signing him.
Then again BB rarely does what I think.

I think the list I mentioned were the teams McCoy had said he'd be most interested in

I would guess $6m with incentive up to $8m.

Most teams have spent the amount of money they plan on spending this offseason so he is going to be lucky to get that.

My guess his top 3 would be NE, Dal then SD

Agree I also saw it mentioned elsewhere.

I wasn't sure if people bringing it up knew if Shelton resigned as both happened around the same time.

I’d pay him 6-8M on a one year deal for a rotational player

He supposedly wants 10M and to play for a winner . I know he's got connections in ATL and his old HC is our OC now but I think we cap out at 6 8 M unless we get JJ or Grady restructured

I saw Jax and Cle but no ATL in the report unless they are a dark horse waiting on them to make an offer

Seems like a nice pickup for Dallas. That D is looking good and him upgrading DT with their star DE would be kind of big.

He’s been garbage since 2017. Everyone hits the wall at some point. Let’s see who over pays for him.

Dallas will reach out. CLE has the best shot. DAL has room to offer him something like a 1 year prove-it deal. Like others have said, around $7M with incentives to take it up to $13M.

That way he saves face by proving he can still get "$13M a year" but the incentives will be impossible to reach.
