Damn... I was a little late, but still.

Round 1 (trade back with Miami. Denver's 1st and 5th for Miami's 1st and 3rd) - LB Devin Bush, Michigan
Round 2 - DT Dexter Lawrence, Clemson
Round 3 - OT Greg Little, Mississippi
Round 3 (from Miami) - S Amani Hooker, Iowa

420.

Great picks, but I have a hard time now believing we could trade down and get Bush, and I’d be a bit surprised if Lawrence is there at 37.

(But I also put some guys in on the what ifs at 10 and 41 that would surprise me, because that’s what happens during the draft.)

If Elway pulled this draft off - they would make a draft movie about it.

We’d only be going from 10 to 13 so I think it would be possible to still get him.

My thought is that the Bengals, at#11, would be a great spot for him.

Who is Miami trading up for?

So, the guys that I do the mock offseason thing with decided we would do a 4 round mock, using the rosters as they are now and this was actually how it has worked out so far. Miami traded up for Haskins. To be honest, I'm not sure I would have made the trade if it wasn't an exercise, mainly because Devin White was there at 10 and I really like him. But, I drafted him the first go around and I wanted to do something different. Since Bush has been gaining a lot of steam since our that first draft, I figured there would be a good chance that he would be there at 13 and I would be getting him and Miami's 3rd (which turned out to be Hooker) and that would make up the difference in the two LBers. Cincy did take White at 11 (which I figured they would) and I was worried a bit that Green Bay would grab Bush, but they went with Sweat, instead.

I was very surprised at how it all played out. I wasn't expecting to see Lawrence in the 2nd, and just as surprised, if not more to see Little in the 3rd. QBs tend to fall a lot further in these exercises than they do in the real draft and I think a couple of people changed it up a bit like I did. But since we were posting all these scenarios, I figured I would throw this in and see what people thought.

Looks like they are pursuing Josh Rosen right now.

That would probably remove them from trading up. Washington might be a reasonable trade back partner. Moving back 15 spots might be risky depending on how we are targeting.

I think you meant moving back 5 spots to 15, right?

I think there would be good options there as I see a pretty good grouping from slots 8-18. And we could perhaps pick up Redskins 3rd and one of their 5ths. (And I understand that Elway and company are always interested in a fifth.)
