There are a lot of backs who I would prefer over Etienne in the 3rd round. While he is a solid all around back I don't see the traits of a lead back, just a potentially solid rotational guy and the 3rd is too high for that type of player IMO. You want to get a potential impact starter there.

I love Etienne, helps that I am a major Travis Etienne fan and Florida fan when Trevor was there.

That being said, I like MB don't think he is the back for us. I said this when he declared, another back I like this year but not a RB I see as a Denver Bronco. Estime can be our power back.

Not big on Carson.

Loveland is fine in Rd 1.

What is the deal with the what ifs this early? I thought we typically did these in April when draft season his a bit higher. I don't care either way but are we doing 100 of these all the way up until draft time are people gonna get tired of them and by the time April roles around our tradition will be dead?

Because no one was posting on this site! I got tired of opening up to the forum and not one thread was highlighted.

We all miss Mingo.

Not sure why Schwesinger is such a popular round two target for us on so many sites. I think round two will have greater depth and value at DT, RB, TE (if we don’t take one in round 1) or S. I don’t see anything that screams value about him. Makes me wonder if there is some intel linking him to us - but he’s there on lots of mocks.

At this point, I’m starting to worry about Loveland being there at 20. He’d be my top choice but hope we don’t have to trade up for him.

That is my thought too. A lot of people have Loveland as our pick this far out but I sorta doubt he is there when we pick at 20.

TE's usually get mock lower then reality. At least the top guys.

I like Rd 1. I really don't think ILBer will be a need once the draft rolls around because there aren't many starter quality guys that fit our needs this year. Id bet we trade or sign a guy at that spot. Kind of a meh draft.

and if we don't sign an ILB I think the best value is that Rd 2-4 range.

I would put a lot of money on it that Sean Payton loves Iowa LB Jay Higgins. He is very similar to ILB's Payton has always had. Hard nosed, tackle machine, who plays very smart with a high football IQ.
