Starting the first one off with the first two picks being how my mock draft I am participating in went. Was really targetting the RT position early but targets went right before me and I am NOT going to reach on a RT. We do have stop gaps in place at least. I think Paschal would be great to throw into our lineup as an EDGE. He was on the nations best pass rushers this year. You're getting a pure pass rusher who has the tools to do the same at the next level.
Taylor-Britt is one of my favorite CB's in the draft. Like I said in the other thread he needs to fine tune his man to man skills a bit, but he has great ball skills, instincts, can tackle and hit. Jurgens is a great scheme fit for us.. I am not all about replacing Cushenberry going into his 3rd year but Hackett does appear to like Jurgens and he fits his scheme.

Also, for the record. I am not one of those people who is calling hard press for a CB to be drafted early this year.

Surtain
Darby
Wiliams
Ojemudia
Bassey

I like our top 4 but you also have to consider Darby's next two years are a little pricey and while he played well last year he is going to have to play very well this year to get the 10 M or whatever option we have for next year. Williams should be good here for the next two years but not exactly long term which I don't think we are worried about that as long as he gives us two good years. Ojemudia is the wild card of this group. He played very well against KC last year when he returned from injury. I think people often forget about him in the CB scenario or have counted him out I think he is very much part of the equation. Bassey will be interesting. He is a year removed from injury. We can surely entertain a CB no doubt about that especially given the division we play in but I also don't think it is "pressing", but you know I aint gonna complain if we do take one early. ;) The good thing for this team unlike most years past is we don't have a ton of glaring needs. The one thing I noticed when doing my mock and the real draft will be way different but the positions we do need there didn't seem to be good value. I don't know how high I want to take a TE this year or a RB if we have to (assuming Gordon doesn't re-sign by the draft which I thin there is a good chance he does) not picking until pick 64 makes this very mysterious for us this year.

You filled out big needs. I love first pick know nothing about other two usually hate drafting Huskers.

Just noticed I typed “Eric Jurgens” who was a College friend of mine. Should have said Cam.

I would’ve mind drafting 2 Edge and 2 CBs. The Defense has some question marks going forward. We can also get younger on that side of the ball.

Since DC went Huskers, I kinda like the idea of drafting JoJo Domann. He may be able to be a good option to help cover some of the TEs in the division.

@CEH

Roger McCreary
Kyler Gordon
Tariq Woolen

Elam should be gone. McCreary is a rd 1 talent that will fall because of his “historically” short arms.

@fightinredantz I like Domann. As you found out I like a fee Nebraska prospects this year. Feels dirty being an Iowa guy though. ;)
