Round 1- Robert Nkemdiche, DL, Mississippi
Round 2- Sean Davis, S, Maryland

Robert scares me, but intrigues me.
Sean puts me on the trampoline.

I like it. I wouldn't take Nkemdiche but if elway did, they must trust the guy enough.

Some of these guys that could fall to us are guys I wouldn't touch... but... if Elway did, I would just have to trust the guy

A month ago you were on the Nkemdiche bandwagon. You have fallen off now?

I've never really been that crazy about the guy cept his FR year I thought he was gonna be a monster, now he just seems like a guy who may never fully develop. But the talent is there.

Yes... before I was just going based on film... but then I went more and more into his character... reading reports, about his bro, wanting to own a panther. Just seems like a kid who doesn't effing get it. Doesn't love football, but loves what comes with football (wants to be a celebrity). Just too huge of a risk in the first that I wouldn't take him. I would take Jones and Butler before him

Yeah I'd easily take those two over him. I'd also take Bullard over him, but that is just me. :)

But Davis makes me go mmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!!!

Getting a new DB to me is like a man's obsession with cars. You can never have enough, a new toy is always a good thing.

I would take Nkemdiche round 2. Too talented to pass there. I don't take him at 31.

I was thinking this same thing - if they can get him in round 2 he becomes well worth the risk to acquire. I do think you can only rehap so many guys per season - or the rehabers look around one day and figure out - we out number them.

Elway has definitely shown he takes guys with character issues but for the most part those character issues look like minor things that got blown way out of proportion like Roby falling asleep in his car with the keys in the ignition getting a DUI. To me that is minor compared to jumping out of a hotel window high on whatever they were.

I can see the talent that he brings but man I would be on pins and needles waiting for him to go do something stupid. Also not liking the idea of him in the locker room. I have the same thought with Von Miller hanging out with Manziel in I know he is trying to help the kid but it seems like it is easier for a bad influence to influence a good influence compared to the other way around.

It may seem that way, but the world would be in a lot worse shape if that was true - IMO.

I guess it depends on the individual. My thought is like with Von Miller he has gone down that bad path of decision making before. I worry that while he has cleaned up his life that if he jumps into trying to be the positive influence in a person like Manziel that he can easily fall back into doing things that can hurt his career.

With Nkemdiche I just can't get behind him right now. If we draft him then I will be hoping for the best and that maybe guys like Wolfe and Ware can get ahold of him and get him on the right path. When I see what he has done and then listen to him speak to the media blaming everybody else but himself for his mistakes then I see a guy that very easily could go down and I would worry would take others down with him. At least guys like Roby and Ray they sounded like they knew they made mistakes and owned up to those and wanted to do better. I have heard nothing of the sorts from Nkemdiche.

I'm exactly with you on this point CD - Nkemdiche's lack of taking responsibility for his screw ups - is not a very good sign for his future as a good character. He deserves a chance - just not a very expensive one - IMO.
