I would be fine with this one. Ifedi has high upside to actually be a LT in this league. He looks like he has the ability to play really any position but Center for us so good depth/starter and high upside is what you hope for at the end of round 1.
Austin Hooper would be a good pick. We need quality bodies at the TE position. Kubiak loves his TE's and Hooper looks like a hard worker, good run blocker, and was the go to guy on 3rd down for Stanford. He has soft hands so should be a good Red Zone target for the Broncos. I wish he had a bit more quickness but if he had everything he wouldn't be available in the late 2nd round.
So overall good draft that I think really sets up our offense well for the future. If nothing else our run game should be able to do well with these two guys added.
I am so sour on the tight ends in this draft. The more I think about it, the less I want to go one early even with 'need'. That being said, i think there is some real value in a couple move/off-line tight ends. Devon Cajuste intrigues the hell out of me.
I am actually surprised Cajuste doesn't get talked about more... Good player to bring up @Dr Cyanide 28 . He would be a nice fit. WR who should play TE in the NFL.. Has the body to build into as a blocker, and has blocked well as a WR ( I know it is different then lining up at TE and doing it) He is worth a flyer for sure.
Hooper I do like, but I don't wanna go TE in round 2 after takeing Heuerman in rd 3 last year. We need a TE, yes... But I don't see us taking one in the first 3 rounds unless we really have little faight in Heuerman after spending a 3rd rounder on him last year.
Good lord I still can't believe we traded up in the 3rd for Richard Quinn.
I seem to never really like our decisions with drafting TE's.
