I honestly give a nice bump on the board to defensive backs that have played both positions. With only 46 actual active spots open nice to have those versatile players that can plug into more than one spot. Also to me it helps them to have a better perspective of what all is happening on the field having to look at it from different angles. I also think it helps them to know best how to communicate with a Corner or Safety as they have seen what they have seen.

Just watched one of Sean Davis' games. I don't think I have ever seen a team move a player around as much as they do with him. I can't imagine all that he has to know on any given play with switching all over the field. Honestly I would love to have him. His work as a Corner in particular caught my eye. He plays very similar to that of Talib of loving some of that off-man coverage and being able to read the QB and know when to break on the ball. I probably like him more as a Corner than Safety after watching the one game. Not the surest tackler that I have watched but a decent one. Again this is off of one game.

I also like the fact that he is used as a gunner on special teams. Really he is the swiss army knife of players with all that Maryland asked of him.

To me it depends in which round we are talking. Like I said I actually like him more as a Corner than I do at Safety. While Corner depth is good I would rather find a guy that is a better safety than Corner. So I would be happy we took him because of his versatility and ability to help out on so many levels but I am not completely sold on him being a great player either.

Let me go look at some film and I`ll see if I think he is worth a shot at me breaking my ankle trying to hop that wagon. :)

Just watched the "Sean Davis highlights " film. I`m in. The guy hits like a truck especially in run support and ST`s. Most of the "coverage" highlights they showed him coming more from safety position. Did`nt see enough to garnish any thoughts on his coverage skills but he certainly looks the safety guy. Most of the break ups I saw were in support not man coverage. I `ll take a shot on broken ankle but still won`t pass up the hand down either. :)

In my humblest opinion, safeties are not worth first round picks unless they are ed reed like. Much more important to add blue chip talent in the trenches.
