I like what Elway did to sign Hillman . It frees up Denver to select a RB somewhere in the draft.
Not sure Denver will draft a 1st round RB but love , love the Joseph pick. I would approve of a 1st round RB because it is Kubiak who knows RBs.

Ill be ticked if we take Henry at #31, Joseph in late round 2? Yes please! I think he is slightly overrated by some , but at the end of round 2, yes please.

I saw a news source compare him to Earl Thomas today. #FarFetched IMO, but he'd be a nice rd 2 guy for us.

Derrick Henry to me is a guy that needs to go to the right team to really have success. If the Cowboys take him say early 2nd round then honestly I think he is rookie of the year behind that OL. He is kind of like a train in it takes him a bit to get going but once he gets going he is tough to stop. That Cowboys OL would give him the push to get that speed up and take off. For the Broncos and our OL being in transition with some new pieces just not sure our system would be the best for him. I do like with the ZBS that it gets the RB going sideways at first letting him get up a bit of momentum before sticking his foot in the ground and getting north and south. Still I think we can find a comparable RB later in the draft.

Now Karl Joseph I would be pumped up if we got him in the 2nd. He seems to be rising up draft boards where I have heard rumors that some think he could be 1st round pick even with the injury. So getting him in the 2nd would be huge. To me this secures our secondary continuing its dominance not only for this upcoming season but for the next few at least.

Yeah Joseph's value is really all over right now (like a lot of players at this point) Anywhere late 1 into rd 2. I doubt he is there with our 2nd, but he could also be a guy we trade up to if he starts falling a bit into the 2nd.

Makes sense for us to trade up for him. I would say Chris Jones and Karl Joseph are the two players that I think fit our defensive system the best of any players in this draft. They have that aggressive play style that I think we could slide in day 1 and have them be playmakers.

I can see Joseph replacing Ward when we choose to keep Stewart over him so I think those 2 would be a great backfield for Denver.

Never, ever draft a running back in round 1. NEVER.

Draft priorities are passing, protecting the QB, or stopping the pass.

My order of preference
QB
Receivers
Offensive lineman
Linebackers/rush end
cornerbacks
defensive line
safeties
tight ends
running back
special teams

Denver can't get Wentz or Goff, so I like Paxton Lynch of Connor Cook. Lynch is 1st rounder, Cook is a 2nd rounder at best

Receivers not sure if there are GREAT receivers this year. At best make that a 2nd round pick

Tackles quite a few here Tunsil, Conklin, Stanley, Decker hopefully one of them is available

Guards some good ones, but none are 1st round worthy

Center Martin, Kelly

rush ends Bosa, lawson, Buckner, Ogbah, Bullard, Dodd, Calhoun I would skip Noah Spence because of his drug issues

Linebackers Jack, Craven, Wright

Cornerbacks Ramsey, hargreave, Alexander, Apple a good bunch of them

Defensive line Rankins, Robinson, Nkemdiche, Johnson, Washington, Reed a good bunch

Safeties no one stands out as first round material to me

Tight ends none to draft in the first round maybe Henry in the second

Running Back Elliot and Henry are good, but you can find a good running back in the middle rounds, hello Terrell Davis.
Look at the past running backs drafted first round
Todd Gurley
Melvin Gordon
Travis Henry
Mark Ingram
Adrian Peterson is a great one, how many NFC championships or Super Bowls have the Vikings won?

OKay, now how about Thomas Rawls, undrafted in 2015

Kicker is Aguayo worthy of a first round pick? Might be. But McManus was a no name kicker and now he is the starting kicker for Denver. Never draft a kicker in the first round. Plenty of them to be found.

Arrggh, I have 29 players that I think are 1st round worthy, if I cant get one of my names then I go to the deep pool of cornerbacks, defensive line, or offensive line. Maybe score a rush end.

Joseph is a nice pick in the second round

My sleeper pick for the third round James Bradberry if the Broncos have not drafted a safety.

For honestly a pretty underwhelming QB class teams seem to be going crazy this year. I mean desperation seems to be at an all-time high. Philly why in the world pay Sam Bradford ridiculous money to then move up and take somebody of the same position? I know he is injury prone but if you liked these QB's then should have spent that money to help a young QB rather than have a ton of draft and cap capital invested in the same position.

I agree. I think both got good value for the pick. I'm very surprised the Browns are not wanting one of these top-2 QB's but maybe they are like me and not so over the top excited with them compared to the other QB's in this draft.

Not real sure about this. TJ Ward signed a pretty friendly deal. Stewart is a great S and really the X factor for us last year, but it all depends on how healthy he stays this year. He has been banged up his entire career.

I would also say that I think Joseph has the skill set to play either safety position. He really showed great improvement in coverage this past year to handle that FS spot. They actually had him playing a lot of single high safety so it showed they trust him to cover a lot of ground.

Joseph would also be a perfect compliment safety to TJ Ward... He could backup both, if Stew misses a few games like he has a history of, he is a guy who could replace him as a starter this year, then take over next year at a safety spot. He's really exactly what we are looking for at S.

My thought is we draft a big guy who can play CB and S.

I really have this feeling we are high on a guy like Sean Davis of Maryland or James Bradberry of Samford, two guys I have likened a lot around here this year for us. Just seems like a fit for our style of D. Since our last SB loss we have really focused on getting more physical and we keep adding those types of players to our defense. I sound like a broken record but I feel both these guys are going higher then so called "mockers" have them going.

I love Keanu Neal and Miles Killebrew but they are not the type of S we are looking for. We won't be looking for that in the box type of S this year in the draft. IMO we are looking for that big physical S who can cover and swing out at CB like Davis/Bradberry. Bradberry has played CB in college most often. We are looking for that Eric Rowe type of S/CB IMO. Guy who can play both early, backup both early and end up a starting S for us soon. Looking for someone versatile who can end up starting for us at safety and backup all DB spots right away.

I honestly give a nice bump on the board to defensive backs that have played both positions. With only 46 actual active spots open nice to have those versatile players that can plug into more than one spot. Also to me it helps them to have a better perspective of what all is happening on the field having to look at it from different angles. I also think it helps them to know best how to communicate with a Corner or Safety as they have seen what they have seen.
