Here’s a DC special. But it take a special sacrifice. That is it include a trade down with the Patriots to #15. And who wants to trade with the Pats?! In the trade, Pats get #9 and our 4th rounder. We pick up #15 and their second round pick (#46)

At 15 we select - Jaycee Horn, CB, South Carolina
At 40 we select - Travis Ettiene, RB, Clemson
At 46 we select - Nick Bolton, LB, Missouri

Well - that would be three winning picks. I really like the players.

How is Horn seeing the field in 21?
Cut Callahan . Hard to pay him to be the 4th CB

I am not sure our1st round pick will see the field this year anyway. The only positions that could see the field this year at:
QB
RB
ILB
OLB
Maybe a RT

QB is potentially unrealistic.
RB is not a position I like draft in round 1
ILB, Parsons may not make it to 9, and the off the field stuff is a concern. There maybe options if we trade down or really reach.
OLB, I am thinking a move down would be the best option if this is the direction we go.
RT, as unpopular as James is he is still really athletic RT.

I would say Horn had a good chance to see the field at some point in 2022. Who wants to bet their annual salary on Callahan and Darby staying healthy all year? Not I.

There may be openings in 2022, but we may not be looking that far down the road.

One thing we know for sure, you can never have too many quality DBs. Contacts expiring next year? Draft him.

I think I've settled on Horn as my favorite DB in this draft.

There are enough quality ILBs who could be drafted -- and would undoubtedly see the field. I really like AJ and Jewell, but a speed upgrade at this position could be very helpful - plus both those players contracts are up this year anyway.
