Why the fuck are the oldest players on the team the players that aren't getting injured this year? Tejada, Mota, Huff, Burrell, Rowand all perfectly healthy.

So how fucked have the Giants gotten this year?
Ross, Torres, Wilson, Casilla, Zito (ok this one helped us,) Sandoval, Ford, Fontenot, Posey, Belt, Sanchez...did I miss anybody? SON OF A BITCH!!!

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but the Giants reportedly just signed Bill Hall, released recently by the Astros.

If he could duplicate what he did last season in Boston (18 HR's, .247 BA), it would be OK, I guess. Burrell part 2 would be great, but I would keep a short leash on this experiment. We will see soon enough whether Hall has any gas left in the tank.

His 2006 numbers have steroids written all over them, (35 HR's, .270 BA)

Hall certainly strikes out a lot, his career rate is about every third at bat. This season is no different, 55 K's in 147 AB's.

Defense?

At 2B, his fielding % = .964 for a career.
At 3B, his fielding % = .948 for a career.
At SS, his fielding % = .965 for a career.

Franchez 2B career fielding % = .990

Looks like Tejada may be staying. But what does this move do to Gillaspie? Or Burriss?

I think Hall's a stopgap until Fonty returns. Nothing more. If you get released by the worst team in baseball, you can't have much left.
