a. Clemson got lucky
b. the SEC isn't THAT good
c. the world is against Alabama
d. Saban's players went on strike

e. None of the above.

Clemson is a good team and so is Alabama (two best teams in college football) ... someone has to win!!

I've observed and these are the most common:

1. Players didn't want to be there.
2. Players were too busy checking their draft status.
3. Refs had it in for them.
4. Too used to success and thus is this best thing for the team as whole.

That pretty much covers it to date.

What an idiot. He is trying to say the Bama reciever should be blocking while the ball is in the air. Dumbass doesn't realize the Saban staple pick play is illegal. He has seen it so many times he thinks it legal.

Probably doesn't think holding is a penalty if he watches that much Bama football.

It’s called an asskicking. We’ve fished out plenty, and occasionally the shoe is on the other foot.

Clemson deserves to rub it in as much as they desire. As for Auburn, 52-21. Tennessee? 58-21. They both can suck it because we clubbed them like baby seals. Hiding behind Clemson is a bad look. Even for them.

:D

Mainly, Clemson is just THAT GOOD. As good as Alabama was (and they were), Clemson was just better. When two teams are this close, there are always other factors that make a difference in the outcome of a game, but non-critical thinkers take that as making excuses instead of looking inward to figure out what went wrong this time to avoid it happening next time. The bottom line is that the BEST TEAM won the game and deserves all of the praise and the glory. Hold that Tiger!

I agree, but must ask this. What do you do with a tiger while holding it?

Huh? It's pretty obvious that's what he was supposed to do. You can see he tried to block the guy, but didn't. He is pointing out that the reason he isn't/can't block him is because the guy is already cheating in due to knowing where the ball was going to go. If the guy is where he is supposed to be, aka not to the inside there, then you can easily block him because it would be the defender pressing on him, and then the receiver is able to run around the edge on the block because he is already running that way full speed.

Good defensive play. Well prepped, etc.

It's a pass. When the pass is in the air recievers can't block or it's a penalty. If they had blocked the DB before the pass was caught (since he intercepted that is the only way it could have happened) it would have been offensive pass interference.

Seriousily you guys are so used to Bama's pick plays that you think that shit is legal.

It's funny that you keep talking about Alabama using pick plays against Clemson of all teams given the history, but whatever.

As for the rest, you are completely ignoring how a DB would normally play that play. As the video pointed out, because of how he played him, he actually left him wide open for a deep ball as he could have blown right by him. But Clemson did their homework and knew he was going to try and block rather than go deep due to the blitz from that side, or they took a calculated risk on the play.

As a DB would normally have to press the receiver in that situation, thus they are the one who initial the contact, the receiver just doesn't go by and it's a quick play on the timing. Unless you are trying to tell me that it's normal for a DB to cut to the inside like that leaving such a speed receiver with no resistance and nothing behind him to cover.

Tua also threw the ball a little behind as well. That opened up the pick 6 part of it.
