Well now that Bezo’s is going to buy an expansion team you can expect in March the NBA Board of Governors will grant Seattle Sonics a franchise in 2023.

They have an arena already built that is used for college basketball, pro fights, concerts , rodeos, circus...

it’s called Madison Square Garden.

Move the Kings to Seattle and call them the SuperKings.
Was voted down on 2012, it would’ve been the most glorious sports district in the world too.

I don't know. The Chargers last year here was my first year living here. Only based on personal observation, it seemed more that people didn't want to support the Spanos, not the Chargers. You could point to the referendum on hotel taxes that was voted down as proof they wouldn't support a team, but again that seemed more they didn't want to support the Spanos family and helping to pay for a stadium for them.

But I will also say, I could see how the city might not be the best at supporting a team. When it's 80+ degrees and sunny outside, who wants to be inside your house or a stadium/arena rather at the beach. I know my NFL watching has dramatically decreased since moving here.

Yeah, a lot of it was the Spanos family. But to allow your city to lose a team? For years, with few exceptions, the fan mix at their home games made them feel like road games. Especially when they played the Raiders.

But yeah, it's definitely easier to not attend games in a place that boasts the best weather in the country and has other outdoor attractions to spend your money on.
