But how come no one ever says Pittsburgh or Kansas City? It's interesting to me that Cleveland has an NBA team but not NHL and Pittsburgh the reverse.

I'll go with 2 cities not listed:

Little Rock & Louisville....just because most of the options listed in the poll already had a franchise once.

Plus....the Clippers can pretty much relocate to SD or Anaheim whenever they want.
Tennessee doesn't need 2 teams. Memphis is enough.

Yeah Seattle for sure we offer pretty much every major sport besides the NBA and to a degree success in every major sport besides the newly acquired NHL franchise. I would also think Pittsburg however I am not sure if that city is a basketball town. You have to have a certain taste living in Florida they could care less about the MLB those stadiums are empty.

I tend to agree, although I wish there was a way to get the Clippers to Seattle

I don't know if that's necessarily true. While there's only a few that can win a title (same as every year), there's actually a lot of other teams that you can make a case for being a playoff team. The West is especially brutal. I think if they added 2 more teams (Seattle and some team to go in the East), it wouldn't hurt things much at all.

Exactly. If they do expand, this why I think it'll be 2 teams. Seattle will definitely be one. The other, who knows. Maybe its a city in the East. Maybe its Vancouver, Vegas, etc and they bump say Memphis or New Orleans to the East, but they'll do 32 because of how it balances.

I don’t like it because you are still going to have players that don’t like to compete gather at the top but all but the top 2 or 3 teams would be weakened.

That is always going to happen though. Unless the NBA drastically changes the CBA and takes away max contracts, you are going to get superstars teaming up.

Cleveland had the NHL Barons in the late 70s until I believe the early 80's. Check that, it was 76-78 and they became the Minnesota North Stars who became the Dallas Stars.

Heck we got Brooklyn and Manhattan covered, how about teams in Queens and Staten Island?

More people live in Queens than in all of Montana
