I'm just not seeing how this Bengals team with Andy Dalton at QB can win a road playoff game. The offense stinks and needs to be addressed after the loss today. It's just not acceptable.

Texans - 24
Bengals - 17

I think it would be possible for us to win with 13 points. Our D has that sort of potential. The problem is that for that to happen we would have to limit all mistakes on offense (no turnovers) and have a big day from Huber. Both of those things could happen.... We could stay conservative and Huber has been great this year. But, I just don't see us catching the breaks.

Houston 19, Bengals 13

Good grief. Why do people always use the word "negative" when fans are being real?

The Bengals offense is garbage. Andy Dalton is not a QB that wins games. We're playing on the road in the playoffs against a superior team.

How the fuck would anyone in their right mind expect the Bengals to win this game? Sure, they could pull it off. To expect them to is foolish.

This is actually a pretty optimistic and realistic prediction from Kramer. 17 points sounds about right for the offense.

I actually like the Bengals better on the road. I prefer them to be at Houston.

In fairness to Dalton, I thought he threw the ball extremely well at Pitt despite his stats. I've said that I've thought Dalton was unimpressive in many games where he had more flattering stats. But in Pitt he threw two very poor passes. One was an inconsequential out to AJ Green. The other the pick at the beginning of the 2nd half. Other than that, he placed the ball in some very tight windows and generally gave his WR's an opp to make a play on well defended plays.

Ravens, meh. Seemed like both teams were going through the motions.

I think the key will be the O-line. Running game has been getting nothing lately and Dalton rarely has good protection. As they go so goes the offense.

I will not be drunk. I will be drinking a couple beers but that's it.

It should be a really low scoring game unless either team's defense/st plays produce points.

if Dalton avoids turnovers and Green can make a couple of big plays the Bengals have a chance. I still favor the Texans in a relatively close on or two score game

Houston 23, Bengals 21. I think the Bengals are finally ready to win a playoff game, and I believe this is a good opportunity for them, but I just can't pull the trigger on a straight up win prediction. I guess it's just the damned pessimist in me. I do believe they'll be in it all the way, and I see them having the ball last only needing a field goal to win. They'll just come up a little short, as is their history. Please, Lord, let me be wrong.

Except at Pitt to win a playoff spot and beat our biggest rival who has owned us for the last many many years?

'winning a game' would denote putting points on the board, which he did not. I worry a bunch about Dalton this game, and our success will be determined by how he plays today.

Did we get the W or the L?

I thought so.

Andy Dalton is 11-6 on the road including the playoff loss last year in Houston the last two years. During those two years on the road, the team has averaged over 24 points a game.

23 - 17 Bengals (I am going to be optimistic this time).

If we lose, we lose, but I think we can win.

"we" got the W, but our offense was completely over-matched

Dalton didn't play well at all that evening, but that throw he made to set up the field goal was an excellent one, into a tight window, and did set up the winning field goal. He deserves credit for that if little else.

it was a clutch throw, but even that was set up by the defense giving us the ball with a short field...

that game was about as close as possible to being single handedly won on defense..

if it was Aaron Rodgers or Tim Tebow at QB I'd say the same thing..

I like Dalton and consider him a good, solid QB, but that Pittsburgh game can't be pointed to as an example of how he can lead us to a big victory. in terms of our overall offensive game it makes me lose confidence rather than gain it..

Houston's defense is very good, but not quite on Pittsburgh's level imo. hopefully they'll fair better today
