yep 10-7-3 is .500 to me. we are basically 10-10 in the first 20 and I can tell you Im not fucking happy with this team. is it early? um 1/4 of the season is practically over. and we are hovering at .500. we have given 6 fucking SIX 2-0 leads in the last 7 games. Bobby Lou is playing average and not even close to what he is supposed to be. Our bottom lines are reverting back to what they were early. and the Coach cant seem to motivate this group out of a paper bag.

this is unacceptable and better be addressed before Wed game. Before you blink we will be at game 40............

get it together canucks.

The Canucks need more production from their top-end players...I said in the game thread last night that Burrows should switch with Sammy to see if he can re-create some magic with the Sedin boys. Obviously, big game coming up Wednesday night against Colorado, does Schneider get the start?

/Ah yes, .500, I wish the Flames could get back there...

When Luongo went down with the injury last night and got back up I almost felt a bit of sadness. I was hoping he could have a month off so we can see what Corey can really do with no pressure over his shoulder. Bring up his value or REALLY challenge Luongo for the #1 spot. Something needs to change in Lou's game.

this season smacks of 2007-2008

You hit the nail on the head in your first post, matt, you can't keep falling behind 2-0 and expect to win hockey games. If memory serves, the team that scores first ends up winning approximately 65% of the time.

I think you're also seeing the impact of injuries as well, I mean Andrew Alberts and Aaron Rome are playing a lot more minutes than they are used to.

they haven't been the problem.
top lines have no confidence / killer instinct.

just playing tentative, playing not to lose.
at least they were moving their feet last night.
that's a step in the right direction.

I'm looking forward to the game on Wednesday with the Avs in town, nothing like a hated rival to get the juices flowing. It could be a nasty affair.

you could have said the same before the chicago game :L

the way they are playing lately, I can 't picture them beating any team that plays with energy.

youre presupposing that the canucks have nasty players ... paper tiger saturday night ... noone stepped in to make Bolland pay for that knee/slew foot on Daniel Sedin ... (radio guys talking about it right now)

Yeah, somebody needs to address that type of stuff (Torres, Glass, or someone) even if it costs you 2, 5, and 10. The Canucks have some fiesty players, maybe they just need a reminder.

Hey I wish my team was 500..

Actually for a team with such high expectations they really haven't lived up to them at this point. I think their are two issues with the Canucks right now.

1.Luongo the most overrated goalie in the league.
2.Secondary scoring. We all know Henrik & Daniel are going to do their thing. The rest of the forwards need to pick up their level of play.

Hey you guys can have Konopka at the deadline. Heck we'll give him to you now. Trust me it won't cost much. Maybe a 3rd or 4th round pick. He only makes 600 K too.

a legitimate tough guy* who can win draws?
what's the downside?

*caveat: i see the PIMs, but haven't seen many of the fights

Zenon is a better player than I thought he was. I was expecting nothing more than a tough guy. He's really good on faceoffs & will take on all comers. Of course he doesn't win them all but he more than holds his own.
