Joe Mixon with the only positive play of the game. Batting a would be fumble out of bounds.

Christ.

I have to say, I thought the D was pretty good today. They didn't get steamrolled by an offense that does a lot of steamrolling. And I really liked all the pressure and blitz packages. That said, their best D-lineman (Reader) is now out the rest of the year and they are missing other parts. It's going to get ugly here soon.

At this point, AJ Green should just retire. Not only is he physically shot, dude doesn’t give a fuck anymore. The lack of effort on that INT return...yikes.

Different bodies deal with different injuries in different ways.

The NFL just seems to be a place where you are paid to be injured, for a lot of players. AJ Green will get injured again, and will sit out the rest of the season. Some folks can come back from injuries beautifully, and for some it's the beginning of the end of their athletic career.

I laugh every time I see that clip of the INT. It's like about half way through, AJ said "Fuck it - can't beat 'em, join 'em" and was just jogging his happy ass down the field...LOL

I just saw a video on my phone of AJ on the sidelines telling one of the coaches "Just trade me"

of course, it's not a guarantee that's what he said, you gotta be a lip reader.

Here’s my thoughts about the “trade me” thing:
1 its not like they arent throwing to him, I think they’re trying to force it to him at times
2 if we wasn’t slower than me and could get open, he’d have more catches
3 he must be an idiot to think that a team would trade for him considering how shot he looks and how bad his effort is

Yeah, not sure if that's what he actually said or not - and the tricky thing is, once you're told what to look for, it's hard NOT to see that when he's speaking.

However, let's pretend for a moment that he said that. 1st, it's not like he's not getting chances. He's had targets. He just can't get open and make catches. That's on him. He is also still owed somewhere near 11 or 12M for the rest of this season. Now, I'm not sure how trades work in the NFL with guaranteed money - but with AJ being on his last year/tag, I'd assume that the trading team would have to have enough space and be willing to pay 10-12M for a busted up AJ. Lastly, if AJ thinks another team is going to look at the current tape and think he's worth 10-12M for the rest of this year - he's delusional. He can be upset about a lot of things, but unfortunately he can't control father time and his body betraying him - and that is exactly what has happened.

One of my favorite players, historically speaking, but the Bengals and him need to sit down and work out his retirement.

When we lined up to kick the FG, I was thinking it was a bitch move. I was also thinking that there was a very low percentage chance we were getting a first down there. So, I couldn't figure if it was okay or it broke an unwritten rule.

I guess my judgment is that Zac Taylor did elect to go for a bitch move. Fat Randy is clutch when it comes to avoiding a shut out. Wink Martindale is a bitch for still talking about a meaningless 3 points 4 days after the fact. ESPN is stupid for reporting such crap.

not that it matters, but point differential may come into playoff seeding tie breakers.

no way we were going to win that game, so it didn't matter.

I'm not a fan of going for FG's just to avoid the shutout, but the fact that the DC yelled about it is just as petty.

reminds me of this dad coach at a soccer game who bitched at the refs for not wanting to count a goal that was scored after the game was over.
