I just wanna add, our o-line is playing ******* great. Darnell Wright is ******* killing dudes out there. His run-blocking has been spectacular.

PFF currently has him graded as the 4th best Tackle in football. That includes LTs.

Anyone catch him blocking that dude into the bench?

Legitimately crushing it out there.
On that 4th and 1? You see that footage? He took that linebackers soul lmao

Here's a great take on how well our OL performed in the Cincy game:

Our fellow hoopsters @beardown07 and @BearsWillWin are pretty good at analyzing OL play in real time, but guys like me need to see this stuff after the fact because I'm too focused on following the ball (ie, the camera) as the game is in play. I like that the video provider made it a point to single out everyone's contribution on the line. I'd definitely qualify this as a must watch.

I played tackle in highschool and then switched over to LB in college but got used often as an extra blocker.

While I often times will see one thing live only to realize it was something different on replay....the play up front dominates my attention when I watch football.

This video was fun to watch.

You can't overplay how important o-line play is. The Bears line still isn't perfect. They gave up a bit too much pressure this past Sunday. But it's no longer the immediately in your face pressure that instantly kills a play. Caleb at least always has time to improvise. More often than not he has time to run the called play and if he can learn to move up into pockets it's gonna look a whole lot better.

Caleb has been buying himself a lot of time this season. But still too much side to side scrambling and not enough stepping up into the pocket.

100%.

He has to learn when to bail and when to just move up.

I have to believe BJ and Doyle are working on it.

I haven't watched it yet, as I was coming here to talk about Rome Odunze's blocking, in a game where he had no catches. Bro was blocking like a fucking stud.

Also when I originally talked about Wright taking him into, basically the fucking stands, that was actually Benedet, but that block by Wright on the LB was fucking AWESOME!

While we didn't draft Odunze for his blocking skills, I'm happy that on a day when he wasn't seeing too much action, he contributed in another way.

Read the comments, some people still are not satisfied with that throw......one comment was it was just a tad behind him.
Even the best ever qbs are not connecting passes perfectly all the time either.
Although he usually misses these types of throws or just does not see the open reciever.....I call it progress in motion.

I have a Bears friend who is not the least bit a fan of Caleb. When I told him that pass to Coston for what turned out to be the winning TD was a thing of beauty, he countered with some BS that he was wide open and anyone could have thrown that. The shot of this pass from the end zone view proves it really was a great throw and when it was needed most.
